So the president of a country being in the front lines is a commendable move?

Hello, if you truly know about leadership, you won't compose what you have up there. So if a confrontation happens and he is shot dead, what would be your conclusion.

Is he a combatant, Airforce or Naval officer. What skill does he have to be in the front lines.

So you expect MTN CEO to climb a Telecom mast when their is a major outage.

It's demoralises, insult and ridicule to the Generals in his cabinet. And same time and insult to his office to have appointed incompetent lots that had to warrant him to go to the frontlines.

We talking about a No 1 man of a country.

You better keep quiet. What do you know about him? Have you read his biography? From your comment, its obvious you lack common sense but then what does one expect from you? Fish brain.

Another latest MUMU fresh from the ZOMBIE factory.

Do you think Idris Deby is a spineless robot like your pay master. A man who led his country to battle with Libyans in the 80s. Go and read up his history. Deby is an accomplished respected General. And if you don't know, he is the one coordinating the attacks and strategies along with the top officers. That is basically the duty of a Commander-In-Chief. It's not by title.
That position means he is the head of all military formations.

As a No. 1 man putting his life at risk shows you he is committed to the safety and security of his people. How many of your rotten leaders can make that sacrifice.

Stupid zombie with their idiotic asinin comments trying to ridicule a commendable effort.

P.S Check this account CoronaVirusPro was created 23rd March 2020. It is the handwork of the FOOLISH ZOMBIES to keep up their propaganda. They must have created it specifically to downgrade the Chadian efforts. This is what they do all over Social Media. BEWARE

We talking about the President of a Nation here being in the frontlines. That's not leadership but stupidity. He is not a combatant, Airforce nor Navy. Putting life at risk to such an extent is stupidity.

Only in Africa would you commend such. With all the experts at his disposal, he choose to go to the fronts. Let's imagine a shoot-out happens and he dies, will you say he died as a brave man?

Where is it done in any industry or terrain where a leader who lacks expertise and compentency in a division, take charge.

Like I stated earlier, it's just like applauding MTN CEO for climbing a 100 meter tower because their is a major outage.

It's outrightly stupidity. Nothing warrants him to be in the fronts.

How could you say that.
Ain't it obvious you don't know the history of President Idriss Deby?
Lastly, you have this typical selfish mind of Nigerian leaders ( let them do the work while we chill all the time). For him to be there(front line) he knows better what and what not to expect. The guy is a fighter.

Hush it up with your gibberish. Very lame and tired assertions. That wimp of a president ought to have fired those service chiefs but did he? Leadership is purely by example. Christ led his disciples at all times only on few occasions did he send them. This one that is afraid of his own shadow. Don't let me start with you this morning.

WE CLEARED BOKO HARAM FROM NIGERIAN TOWNS: THEIR SOLDIERS REFUSES TO TAKE OVER - CHADIAN PRESIDENT. - NEW YORK TIMES

“We want the Nigerians (troops) to come and occupy, so we can advance,” President Déby complained in an interview at his palace last week. “We’re wasting time, for the benefit of Boko Haram,” he added. “We can’t go any further in Nigeria. We’re not an army of occupation.”
According to New York Time, “a small-country president cleaning up a far bigger and richer one’s mess”.

Déby showed no hint of triumphalism. Instead, he was frustrated, impatient: His men were stuck, still awaiting any sign of Nigerian forces who could come to take over.

He does not want to be holding Nigerian territory, he said. He wants to be on the move to give Boko Haram more Blows.

I beg to disagree!
Pockets of battles have been won against BH in the battlefield. And that’s why there is relative peace in that region. Most attacks these days have been against our troops, and this is intended to decimate our forces and build up armoury again for the BH forces.
If only you know what BH has faced by decisive actions by our military.
If BH is as strong as some of us credit them why have they not expanded their frontiers to the Middle Belt on their way to over-running the nation.
We should look very carefully at this whole battle thing and most of all commend our troops who have kept us safe so far, and in the process some paid the ultimate price. Yet we trivialize these sacrifices!

There’s no doubt that our troops have done well. I’m not blaming the soldiers here. If an advantage is gained over the enemy, you push harder for final victory. Our troops have pushed these guys in the past, but what happens the government relaxes, in terms of negotiations and releasing some captured fighters to the enemy and paying ransome, the worst of them all rehabilitation of terrorists. All these will weaken the morale of the soldiers on the battlefield. All these coupled with the fact that these soldiers hear of billions in dollars and naira being released to procure arms, but they aren’t getting these arms whereas the enemy is stockpiling arms on a daily. There’s no morale booster for these men risking their lives for this country. How can a president or some generals not take decisive steps on hundreds of soldiers killed. The Chadian military carried out this retaliatory attack because 92 of their soldiers were killed by BH, about 50 of Nigerian soldiers too were killed in that same attack, but did our president or the generals say anything or take any action on the matter? This is just a few, Metele, Baga and so many other battles that lead to losses of Nigerian soldiers are not excluded.

How did the government pay back these soldiers? Releasing and spending billions of naira to rehabilitate your enemy.

And on the expansion to the middle belt or down south, Boko Haram doesn’t seem to want that. They want to establish a caliphate in the North East/Chad basin.
