Nigerians, please just endure until these comedians leave office. I hope they would not leave the treasury empty the way they're going. Its obvious they have nothing to offer and they're not hiding it anymore. I watched Buhari in a town hall meeting in 2015 before election in lagos saying boko haram would be a thing of the past and he would do his best to ensure political office holders are stopped from seeking medical treatment abroad.

He has failed on all his promises. If not for the Coronavirus pamdemic, he would have been to the UK 2 times at least, this year for check up. God pass all of them. Covid-19 has stopped all of them, most of whom were on scheduled medical.check ups overseas. I hope they all survive it because all countries have shut their airports against foreigners.

Charity begins at home. Tell that to Buhari first.

What hypocritical nonsense

These guys must think we are like Republicans and fox news, where you can change history at will

Have we not been through the last two years of Buhari travelling abroad and ignoring this health sector?

So as long as some people can travel out for treatment, it should not be taken seriously. Is that the implication? Because if it is, that means that as soon as this crisis is over and some people can start travelling out again, the seriousness will be reversed. It also implies that sectors where some people can still travel out; like the education sector; need never be taken seriously.

Government officials should be very conscious of their utterances; especially at these trying times.

Bunch of jesters and 3rd grade clowns! A time is coming that you all will be begging for death and suffering is what you’ll all get. Since independence, they’ve been punishing the masses and when the table turn, the gods will also be angry with you people- all those who joined hand to make this country a laughing stock amongst the committee of nations

Buhari promised us that in 2015 and we are still waiting. grin

Well, he promised a lot more...

1. Obliteration of Boko Haram within 6 months
2. 1 Dollar to 1 Naira
3. 24 hour power supply to the entire nation
4. Payment of monthly stipends to the unemployed

The above are weightier promises... grin

Let's stay strong.

We are holding up well.

And this is why.

It's been 6 weeks since the Italian came with COVID.

6 weeks after Italy got their first case they had suffered 10,000 deaths.

We have just 7 dead.

In 6 weeks, Feb 26 - March -April, America went from about 50 cases to almost 500,000 cases.

We are just at 305.

Let me bring it into clearer focus.

On February 28 2020, we had one case. America had 60 confirmed cases.

Today we have 305 but America has about 500,000.

Okay let's use Untited kingdom that is about a third our population.

On February 8, Uk had 16 cases . We had one.

Today Uk has 70,000. We have 305.

We have no reason to panic.

God is on our side but we must not let him down.

Here is why we must not relax.

On February 27 We had one confirmed case and UAE had just 13. Both countries held up well. By March 31 UAE had 611 and we had about 131.

Today UAE of about 10 million people now has 3,360 but We have 305.

Let's be careful.

On March 6, 2020 Spain had just about 365 confirmed cases. Today they have 158,000 with about 15,800 dead.

We are doing well. But we have to keep our eyes on the ball.

Stay safe . God bless you.

Happy Easter

Very logical but...this is Nigeria

The main problem with our healthcare system is funding...and funding is problematic because

1.First, our earning capacity is not enough. We would need to have a budget in excess of $200billion or more to have a well funded health care system on par with the developed world. But the thing is, the oil money we earn does not make enough for us to live on. And corruption finishes the rest.

2.Nigerians themselves are not paying enough in taxes and health care fees for the system to work. We insist on paying $500 for a Caesarean section that cost $40000 in the USA, and then expect our system to function like the USA own.

The truth is, you cannot expect $20000 performance with $20. That is what we have been doing in Nigeria.

Not necessarily.

Nigeria is not a poor country. The main issue is that the decision makers and leaders do not have the will to put funds in the sector. Applies to other sectors as well, look at Education, even the fundamental Power sector. They would rather loot the money meant to develop the country. So now, let them face the consequences.

Well we don't have the funds

1.Our budget is $26billion dollars. Health care chops $2 billion. The UK spends $130 billion just on health alone.

2.Oil is not earning enough for us. We produce the same amount of oil as the UAE...for a population of 200million. The UAE has 11million people. Saudi Arabia produces 5 times what we produce for a population less than 12 million.

3.Leadership is bad because the principle they operate on is earn money and share it among the people. Well, we don't have enough money to share and we never did have enough.

4.Nigerian leadership is bad because they don't want to develop a productive economy. Instead, na to share money.
