Pifa: And you believed the comments of the character 'the one who swallowed what swallowed the elephant'? He was making all those things up, one guy here even said the picture was his, just stolen by the OP to spice up his tale. bk.babe97y: Yeah, because its only in iboland that elephants lived, no other tribe knows what an elephant is. seunlayi: You already pay that one, ask your inlaws! |

This is ridiculously subjective. Who determines which buildings are ugly and which ones are not? why can't they just enforce building regulations, so such buildings will not come up in the first place? Bad idea in my view. |

kedukc: Its amazing that people are taking this way too seriously. The OP culled the story from Wazobia Reports for crying out loud. Even more amazing is the fact that a radio station here in Abuja included this story as part of their news report this morning! |

I want to buy that Elephant House and move in right away. Please have a helicopter landing pad installed on the elephant's back by the middle of next week at the latest. The garden will also need to be livened up with a few statues of full-busted nymphets in the flesh-colored altogether. As an aesthetic counterbalance to my new real-estate acquisition, I would like to buy the lot across from that building, where consruction of a monstrous Blue Whale House must commence the minute escrow clears. |

Ugly is in the Eye of the Beholder. How do you asign objective parameters to a subjective issue? |

OMG! I just had to take a picture! I have been laughing so hard at everyone's comments! The amount of cement and sand the woner used in building the poor elephnat could have been used for a gatehouse and BQ to boot! The real Elepahant House somewhere in Marina I think go dey vex now o! C competition! Pity the Elepahnt here was not trumpeting, that would have been drama! As for the tax, Gov. Fashola should take it easy o! Afterall, beauty and therefore, ugliness are relative o! It owuld have been better if he placed tax on ugly and non-road worthy vechicles instead. But what do I know? I am not the Gov! |

Re: Lagos State Introduces Ugly Building Tax (pic of the ugliest bld) by Jakumo(m): 5:18am On Jan 09, 2011 |
Elephants roam Yankari Park in Bauchi State, venturing into neighboring villages to plunder their crops during the dry season when grass is scarce, in much the same way as retired, geriatric dictators like Ayatollah Buhari try and run for elected office when their stash of stolen cash starts to run low. One could thus classify Nigerian elephant species as grassland elephants, which have big ears, and Treasury Elephants, which have enormous beer guts and dozens of concubines to support. |
