No one is saying Africa - Nigeria, doesn't have its deficiencies. Major, if you might say. But what is despicable is the way Nigeria is always dragged, sometimes for no reason, by American and European wannabes.

Criticize with purpose and not with glaring mockery. Encourage where need be. Assist if you can and proffer solution.

Let me ask a question, have you ever thought of the mockery Nigeria wouldve been subjected to, if the numbers of Covid 19 in the US and Nigeria were swapped? I'm sure you wouldve said Nigeria is a shithole, and couldn't manage flu like the US, your slave masters.

Remember, no matter where you go, no matter the citizenship cards you get, the natives will always remind you from time to time, that you're not one of them.

The food was destroyed because nowhere to store it. Take for example, you have a deep freezer in your house, you stock the freezer with food and it gets filled up, then tomorrow all your neighbors bring food to you as Easter rice etc, where will you store the new food given to you by all your neighbors? You will end up throwing some away.

There are definitely better ways of handling d situation instead of destroying d food

Can they find a way of importing them to Africa instead of destroying them?

With the way things will start going this week, NCDC will start getting their confirmed cases mixed up, thinking that the deaths recorded are COVID-19, not knowing that majority of the deaths are from HUNGER-20.
And we know that when one is severely hungry, it can manifest with different symptoms. Too much hunger can show the combination of symptoms of Ebola Corona and HIV in just one manifestation.

Most of the people to drive shipments are likely under lockdown.

Also, the farm output and logistics may be mostly local and may not have factored interstate shipment especially with perishable goods that do not use preservatives (based on customer requirements and local regulations). So the farm needs to purge itself of wastes in the short term to survive.

This is similar to the close of Nigeria’s borders where trucks of goods got stranded. All perishable goods become a problem for the driver (and owner of the goods) in a matter of days.

Force majeure!

This is where government should have intervened. If only government duties could be outsourced.

You have food but yet your monthly minimum wage cannot afford two bags of rice?
The reality is that people are not eating or looking for other alternative that is not their favorite because of inflation

But you don't have to eat rice. Or imported rice. ( i hate to even say that as food should be a pleasure)

Rice isn't the most nutritious either.
Everytime you order imported you are sending money abroad to people who already have more than you. Until our leaders learn to negotiate trade agreements where the other country buys back from us instead of just infrastructure loans and we do our part buying as local as possible that 2 bag of rice salary will not change.

This is one area that governments globally have failed woefully. Food security has always been the exclusive of private companies and individuals.

It exposed the incompetents of government to coordinate proper food distribution along the entire food value chain. And you have knuckleheads chairing boards of that useless UNFPA.

Sometimes, I ponder if humanity actually need government to survive. Aside from taxing individual to death and making Draconian laws that put hindrance to human development, engaging in senseless wars, printing and controlling where and how money flows, what better use is government?
Don't blame government, blame systems of government. America is reaping the evil fruits of capitalism. It's all about profit, it's devoid of humanity.

We can all see how un-united the world is with this pandemic.

Everyone is being selfish and self-centered.
The big dogs are bullying the puppies and taking AIDS from their mouths, the big downs are burning excess food while the puppies sleep hungry.

What better ways?
There is a pandemic going on.
The labourers that help them pick fruits and help on the farm are not there anymore due to lockdown and fear for life.
Many farmers just allow the fruits to rot because they can't do it alone.
Those that can harvest their products do not have enough storage for them, nobody can come and collect them even for free (because their is movement restrictions , and these are very rural areas far from everybody) so the farm products just go to waste

You will help them to achieve their aim of wiping off the two third of the African Population. they will help you to inject GMO on the food or a Nanotechnology that will cause you sickness,
When a Continent cannot produce her own food. is this not a shame to those who impose themselves on you as Leaders ?

You just think "africa" should be a dumping ground. The milk has to be processed within 48 hours. There are no extra trucks to carry the milk. "Africa" produces enough food however most of it is lost because we dont have good preservation and distribution. You keep wondering why things are not gettibg better in "africa' but want to import rubbish. This is how the clothing industry was destroyed. East african countries trief to outlaw used clothing but american and other countries with intesrests in selling used clothing would not free their govts to act accordingly. Kokoro ti ounje efo... finish it.
Idi efo lo wa, bros na true you talk, the way some African think en it amused me. We think like a slave yet when the whites called us slave we started talking, wailing and ranting. People called you name you told them to call you. Our attitude says it all, isn't it?
