I hope these crooks do not want to hijack SIP as their constituency project thereby being the ones to pay the vulnerable. That's the only thing I see them trying to do. They will claim they are the closest to the grassroots and therefore in a better position to share the money.

Gbajabi is a progressive leader who wants good thing for the populace.I heard him say to the president that at least the people should be allowed to enjoy 2months free power and on another occasion he boldly told the minister of humanitarian affairs that the conditional cash transfer is a mess.

So the southern lawmakers are aware Buhari has been doling out money monthly to people in the north and kept quiet?
Shame on these people!
Shame!
Corona has opened our eyes to what is happening under this wi ked Buhari govt.

They can give out monthly stipends to their people in the north, but that old woman with no kids in igboland or Yoruba or that very old man in the creeks of Niger delta is left behind.
And guys are here supporting these people?
We don't know tomorrow.
The millionnairs of 00, 90, go and check their families, some are wallowing in poverty in other word nothing is static.
U may have been smiling to the banks today, I wouldn't guarantee you about tomorrow.

stop spreading lies and rumors. These monies have been going round the country since 2016. For reasons known to them, they stopped in January. The 20k they are sharing now is for January to April. It used to be 5k per month. And I happen to know the facilitator in my own village in imo state.

The truth about the present day Nigeria is that poverty have overwhelmed the citizenry, people you consider not to be poor today are even poorer to those you see as poor. For instance, there are so many graduates today who can not feed and don't even have anybody to feed them.
Buhari himself lack idea, it is what the cabals brings to the table that he implements, the old man is just there.. the answer to this mess is working economy that's all

The National Assembly is still waiting for the register of Nigerians who benefited from the money earlier given to SIP without result.

Meanwhile, Nigerians should beware of the organization called Covidaid. Their site is accessible using https://www.covidaid.ng they also have code to register. It seems it is an NGO using covid-19 to generate users database to receive funding from International Donor Agencies and government. A lot of people have registered without receiving any covid-19 aid within the last two weeks.

USAID, other agencies and FG should take note.

Other school of thought are of the opinion that they are creating a database of Nigerians to be used to defend how money appropriated to them was spent

While agree with you to an extent, mind you if you're appointed today to advise the presidency on how to tackle what u feel u have idea of. I bet you will be shocked on how find it difficult to handle. Governance is like game of draft where u can clearly see from outside but see less when seated to play the game. quote author=athaboi post=88457300]The truth about the present day Nigeria is that poverty have overwhelmed the citizenry, people you consider not to be poor today are even poorer to those you see as poor. That's a good one from the leaders of the two houses. This is the time Nigerians need their services most, especially the poor and the downtrodden. Kudos to them.

Any review that would keep bringing about the betterment of the program and not politicized for political gain is welcome. And let the world Bank be a compulsory participant of the review.

Hence they have admitted that the program was ongoing since 2016.

God bless the NASS

God bless president Buhari.

God bless Nigeria!!!

You can add me as well. Without any doubt we have all the reasons in the world to remain pessimistic about Nigeria’s hopeless and irredeemable state. Even the leaders that govern Nigeria have no faith at all in this entity. Only out to loot

It is not difficult at all. There is enough to satisfy everyone not enough to satisfy their greed. With prudence and frugal use of public funds as well as pruning both size and cost of governance as well as plugging loopholes to steal and dealing severely with yam eaters you would see what we able to do even without loans

E for even better. There is a big difference between not having idea and being straiight-up dumb. He's an embodiment of the second option.
