autofreak2020:Lol. We have a growing terrorist organization that is world renowned. The same bastard politicians sponsoring them will bring expats to weaponize it. Next thing you know, the next World war is initiated in Mother Africa. We're not ready for it yet. |

dejt4u: It is understandable. When they see their local 'Discolite' climb poles and pylons without an iota of safety protocols and leave transformers dangeruosly exposed they are scared. I too will be scared if I thought Peace Mass Transit and Peace Air were one and the same and those daredevil drivers will eventually find themselves in the cockpit of a Boeing 767 bound for Dubai. Yes, we are notorious for carelessness, impunity, nepotism and every social malaise under the sun that should ordinarily make nuclear power plants dreaded propositions but aircraft simply donot crash at higher frequencies in Nigeria than in nations with nuclear power plants which says our habits are not insurmountable. 3 Likes |

benji93: Do you know that nuclear power plant fuel is now renewable? You don't need to be afraid, let us adopt it if truly we want an industrial revolution. Nuclear power plant has 92% efficiency, while the conventional power plant are less than 57%, what does that tell u? God bless Federal Republic of Nigeria |

YoungPerson: If we are not ready for it, then we do not deserve to fly aircrafts . Aircrafts has claimed more lives than nuclear plants, but we are still comfortable flying in it despite the hazard associated with it. |

Bruv I have nothing to prove to u man. 90% of all nuc waste are low to intermediate level radioactive waste meaning they have a short half life. This ain't about providing u with info source. I work in this industry so I know what am saying. If u want prove inbox me x Actually Nigeria ain't which I think we all know but a few African countries are on their way to adopting nuc - SA already have one, Rwanda is in the process I believe benji93: |

kikero: Yeah but without the flood caused by Tsunami and the Civil Engineering construction problem, such wouldn't have occurred. And After the chernobyl accident, a lot has been done to improve their reactor safety. When we learned of the reactor power and operation, it was fun seeing how we can manipulate the reactor power. I can't wait for the reactor simulation course to simulate it. So I understand when operators are trying out some things during reactor operation. Let me say it's common anyway. 1 Like |

wirinet: Please be specific when you say "most countries". Are these countries rich and industrial? Are they in the G-20? Which industrialised country do you know that generates at least 50% of her electricity from solar, wind and other "woke" renewable sources? |

Staphylococcus:I can now say you have comprehension problem. The only thing still in development is quantum dot solar cells, not crystalline silicon solar cells which can deliver in Gigawatts now, and what stops Africa from developing it are u afraid of doing scientific research,African mentality you're only a final consumer. if Africans love nuclear so much they should follow others in nuclear fusion research not looking for abandoned technologies to use. Solar technology is broad and diverse with more potential than nuclear fission, |

Nukilia: Who am I in the puzzle? Everything boils down to leadership. This leaders know what's right. Don't think they don't have an idea about what's being discussed. They do. If they want to get things done, they will, but corruption and sabotage will never make that happen if the electorates keep making same mistakes. Nest election now, they will still be routing for the same people killing them. Let me tell you the truth. Though is my personal opinion which I have a right to. And my conusion is not based on mere belief or hearsay as I can always buttress and defend opinion. Nigeria is doomed! A generation needs to be wiped off before that country can have a second chance, which is impossible. So it will continue to be that way. 2 Likes |

ogalandlord: Nigeria - Africa's most populated and biggest economy - needs to industrialise her economy to provide jobs and a high standard of living for her people. As a result, she needs an energy solution that provides enormous gigawatt of electricity at lower prices. This is because there's no country that her economy is industrialised, rich and powerful that did so using energy generated from wind and solar. None exists globally! It's preferable doesn't mean it's the best or even feasible considering the need for economic development. |

YoungPerson:.Smiles! South Africa has nuclear power plant. SA has a population of 57.8m and generate 51,000MW of electricity, Nigeria has a population of 200m and generate 4,000MW of electricity. I don't want to mention advanced countries. is that embarrassing? How can you industrialize without electricity. are u not tired of seeing generators everywhere including NEPA offices? That's air, sound and environmental pollution. Nuclear here we come. God bless Federal Republic of Nigeria 2 Likes |

Supersymetry: Hello, Solar has never been a major source of lower generation in any Nation that can be compared to Nigeria. The tech is an add-on in any country and its damn expensive. With regards to the case of Nigeria, it can't work, cos we far off from what is required and we need a tested and proven tech to get us there. Nuclear energy as it stands today is the most reliable and efficient tech in power generation. That can't be taken away. Advancement has made it very safe. |

Staphylococcus:I have a question for you. Do you know that the food you eat come from solar energy perhaps your house, car etc Or do you know the amount of energy the sun delivers to Earth every day. Do you know that nuclear fission energy is not renewable, though it doesn't affect CO2 level, but it is not good to the environment 1 Like |

I didn't ask for proof. Just a source. Are you the first to come up which such a stat? Based on your post I can't help myself but assume you are not a researcher. You work in the industry, so provide a source. Are you developing your own nuclear systems? You expect me to trust your word? You could just say, refer to the so so paper or so so preprint or so so manuscript. Sydney1995: 1 Like |

Supersymetry: Nigeria's demand cannot be met by solar. It's far too expensive and considering our demand, it's out of the picture. It's an unreliable and bulky tech. Nuclear waste are well handled now and same time less radioctive. Things have changed in this era. The tech is now certified. |

Nigeria is ready and achieve nuckear power plant but only if we have the right leaders and citizens with conscience. Only in Nigeria will government workers be rich while their office is vegetative. |
