Govenors are way higher than senators and rep members...i dont know what the creator was thinking
the creator was not only ignorant but he/she is also one of the sheeples who follow anything they see online. No single senator earns more than any Governor in Nigeria.

Senators are just upgraded civil servants if you look at them individually. Of course they earn high but men... Governors are the real deal

haba na, how can a governor earn more?
It's like saying LG chairmen earn more than commissioners

Yes, governors earn more than ministers. Likewise, LG chairman earns more than commissioners. It's not about their salaries, but the pecks of the office.

Nigeria's democracy didn't start well, I mean how can Senators earn so much money like that. The 1999 constitution needs to be scrapped and a new one written before we can talk about real progress in this country.
funny enough na still the senators and reps people that would intitiate and pass such bill to law

Really, you mean Governors earn more than Senators? Why does Governors go for Senators after finishing their tenures as Governors?

What's the motivation?

Because there's nowhere else to go to go and continue to relevant and exert control over their loot.

Are you for real? Tell me which senator earns more than the governor of the state he represents. Mention one senator, just one. Even the Senate President doesn't control as much money as Lagos State Governor.

Have u ppl ever seen a governor who willingly resign to become a senator in nigeriaThe answer is capital NO but we have so many senators who abadoned their seats to become governors.Eg duoye diri of bayelsa state and even Dino melaye who recently contested pdp governorship primaries while still serving as a senator.Even senator Bala Mohammed had to abandon his seat in 2011 just to become FCT minister which is also like a governor.lol

Even Ayade of Cross river state too.

On point

By virtue of position and state, a Governor can make more money than Senators.

You're very close but you did not arrange it very well. For me governors comes first followed by senators, reps members, ministers then peanuts for workers.

Re: Salary: Does This Picture Represent The True State Of Nigeria? by nnaeyes6: 5:49pm On Apr 23, 2020
It actually depends on the state and attitude of the governor involved.

All monies come to the governor and he uses it the way he wants.

A senator yes may have money in jumbo pay but some governors have DEALS that can Pau senators overnight

Even in terms of basic salaries, governors earn more than senators, rep, or minister.
Talk about security votes and power over allocations of the whole state plus LGs.

A state has 3 senators, 10 reps, but just a governor.
Ministers are aren’t elected
True... Being an element in a compound can never compare to heading some bunch of hedio+scheesy ..while being friends with the CP.. Although the former can enjoy longer tenure..

Because it's the only other high office with prestige that voters can get you into. It's now a scrapyard for old and TIRED governors and ministers. A sleeping Chamber. cheesy

Ok If there was no limit to governorship term, no governor would willingly leave it for ministerial or NASS.

Look carefully. Politicians leave FEC and NASS to contest for Governorship: Fayemi, Woke and many more. Governors are chief executives of States. They get to appoint commissioners and heads of parastastals, prepare a budget, can impose curfews, sign bills to become law. In fact governors are mini-presidents.

Ministers can be fired at any time. Governors only by the electorate, HoA or the courts.
A governor can siphon billions without breaking a sweat.
No comparison at all.

Governors dont earn more than federal house members. They only have much more funds at their disposal to embezzle than the federal house members.
Re: Salary: Does This Picture Represent The True State Of Nigeria? by Kinematics: 6:11pm On Apr 23, 2020
The OP must be a clown. Putting a mere senator that's in charge of just a senatorial district above a governor that's in charge of a state.
The senators earning plus his allocations is a change to what the governor gets.

Chisos chisos. We have too many political illiterates in this country.
