America was supposed to be able to 'obliterate' the Taliban. Yes they removed the Taliban from power and that's where it ends. The Taliban still control so many places in Afghanistan and still strong so much so that the US literally begged them onto the negotiating table. Winning wars isn't as easy as you guys think
