you cant force anyone to be responsible.... but you can sit down and talk to him and ask him to do whats right and have a DNA test 1st, then if/when the test is positive, then try to act on his good heart to do the minimum for his newly born child, regardless of what he thinks of your sister.

And i also want the guy to regret why he denied his act.

the above issue is between your sister and the dude, and has absolutely NOTHING to do with you. your sister was foolish enough to open her legs unprotected to this dude, and she should take some of the blame here. we dont know what transpired between them thus cant possibly force this man to do what he aint ready to do.

Maybe you didn't read where the op said his sister has a mental issue. She couldn't have known the implication of the act she enjoyed with that dude.

no i didnt read where he said that his siter has mental issues....but if that is the case then the brother shouldnt expect the dude to take responsibility for the child, as this would be categorized as a rape. as if a rapist taking advantage of a mentally impaired woman would now claim the baby....lets be honest now?!?!

also, if the sister indeed has mental issues, then the family should take full responsibility for what happened, as they should have taken better care of this vulnerable person.

I agree with you. I also think the guy can be sued. If a DNA test is conducted and he is found to be the father of the child he can be made to pay for child support. He also risk going to jail because like you rightly said, that is rape.

Your sister has put to bed already, what your family should be concerned about now is how to get a DNA test done which will prove this guy is the father of the child.
Once it is ascertained that he is, then you have all the moral and legal right to start dragging him for child support.

what if your sis was cheating or double dating and the guy found out...and was just playing along till she got pregnant...u are not sure of the father of the baby by just your sister's view...run a DNA

OP, take responsibility of the child and raise it till teenage years. When the father tires he’ll come back and as usual you’ll try to fight him over the ownership of the child. This is a very normal story which happens every other day in Nigeria.

Op, if your sister has mental challeng and was put in a family way, you have a case for her ONLY if the person responsible can be identified.

Having said that, have your prove that the accussed is responsible, armed with that, get a lawyer or human right involved. With her mental status, the guy is in for a very big case.

How do you expect someone who doesn't want to accept his pregnancy be responsible for the pregnancy
