Do not be frightened. If I could recall, someone here got their Visa and didn't get any message about BRP being sent.

If you have the visa vignette In your old passport, and you are able to get a new passport in Nigeria before travelling, the remaining pages of the old passport will be stamped “Cancelled Without Prejudice”. The vignette is still valid. All you need to do is to travel with both passports. I would present the the passport with the vignette at Point if Departure and Point of Entry, while the old one is in my pocket.
Then as soon as I get my BRP, I will keep the old passport under my box.

Someone please help...I am on my son's application but I realised I made a mistake with the email address by ommiting a letter so I didnt get the confirmation email for the ihs and visa application payment. What can I do?
