Please kindly offer your insights as i am in a similar position too. I have an offer for LLM International Commercial Law at Birmingham City University and Bournemouth University. I'm really confused regarding the best option as i intend to work too while studying.

Cyberknight:

This particular LLM specialisation is not likely to fetch you much. Truth be told, the market for solicitors and lawyers of all stripes is not really favourable, but if you must do an LL.M, choose a different specialisation. I would suggest areas like financial regulation and compliance, tax law, public procurement law, etc.

Avoid "international" law in all its iterations as well as the "oil and gas" crap.

I think Cyberknight has done justice to your question

1. It's okay. You're not required to bear your husband's name or change your name after marriage.
2. It's okay as long as your last and first names stay the same on all your documents. If in doubt, use an affidavit to back up the name variation.
3. Get an attestation of results from WAEC to change the DOB as this can actually create some doubt for the ECO. You'd need an affidavit and birth certificate to get this corrected and I'm not sure how long this currently takes.
If your WAEC wasn't stated on your CAS, you don't need it.
4. Answered above.
5. You don't need to change to your husband's name if you don't want to. Your marriage certificate is evidence of your union.
If you decide to take on his name and get a new passport, you don't need an affidavit since your marriage certificate is a link to your current and previous name and it is enough proof of name change for UKVI.

Thanks for your response ...for the issue on the waec because of the difference in date of birth, it might take time to get attestation from waec..I'm considering using just the my waec statement of results as this doesn't show date of birth..

And I dont know if I can apply with just my bsc certificate and transcripts.

Thank you.

Good Afternoon everyone, please I have a rather odd question. My 3 kids and I are applying for our dependant Visa and our 28days is up this week. I decided to check oanda and saw that the rate had brought us below by £50. ( we have our statement in our usd and gbp account) the conversion had dropped by £50 with the usd.  Abit confused on the step to take. Do we pay in some money and print or we have to wait another 28days?

SamReinvented:
Hello gurus in the house, I need to make an ultimate decision between two schools/programs and I need external opinions... more specifically, from those who already live in the UK, and are familiar with the general public sentiments for the schools and the programs within the UK professional scene (outside of the formal rankings and reviews that outsiders like me, look at):

1. University of Sunderland (Msc Engineering Management - 1 year).
2. University of Bedfordshire (MSc Electronic Engineering with placement - 2 years).

My heart goes for the second program, but my online reading about the UofB is seriously holding my leg (although most of the bad reviews are old... and that specific course from the uni is well ranked and accredited). So, for those already living in the UK, which option do you think has a better edge from a holistic point of view? Anyone else can also put mouth.

cc Justwise Mimilyrics Stenon Skymoore.

I'll advise you go for MSc Electronics Engrng if you're planning to stay back and don't limit yourself to just two schools. There are a lot of good schools in UK with accredited Electronics course & not too expensive. Try to do a subject ranking search of schools, I'm sure you'll get more choices to choose from. My opinion.

Pay some more money in school fees ..even if it 100 or 200 . But dont apply if it below even £1 .... alternatively wait each day until it drops but that you cannot predict as it might go up instead of down so u are better off paying some more school fees . That way u dont have to wait for 28days

For those that have arrived the UK and arriving soon, you may need to brush up your CV to suit the market demand and specifications to land that job. I've been reviewing CVs for free for more than 2 year on Linkedin. You can send your CV request to the email and we can talk about completing yours for a little token. cvreviewers(at)gmail.com.

PSW can only be issued once

So basically it's either 2-year or 3-year depending on the degree.

No.
Just once, irrespective of the number of degrees one takes.

A ban wont be talking about you able to reapply immediately... this definitely a refusal than a ban

There nothing in this letter that indicates you were denied due to your not stating previous visa refusal. Are u just assuming that or you got another letter to that effect

Anyway keep it simple... and dont go into stories that touched that not necessary

I was just assuming, I didn’t get another letter Thank you

Sunderland I far ranked and as campus in London, just goggle Sunderland University London campus.

uote author=justwise post=95800889]

Sunderland has far better ranking, Bedfordshire is ranked bottom of all universities in the UK depending on the ranking website.

I'm not sure that the placement will be in your field, so you may spend that placement year working in other area not related to what you are studying.

I don't know Sunderland ass a city but i know Bedfordshire (Luton) too well, closer to London, getting part time job will not be a problem. Not really cheap city to live because of its proximity to London but its affordable of you manage well. The poor ranking is a put-off

I think Sunderland will be a much cheaper city and its closer to Newcastle which is another popular city and that will help your job hunt during and after graduations..

Tier 4 students generally need WAEC/NECO to meet English requirements approved by their unis.

So the process is different

Luton is quite cheap am presently there, though right now the place is very dry many businesses are close cause of covid19.

The people are nice, I just came in here and I HV made lots of friends, both old and young, there's a crazy guy that's been trying to be friends with me but he looks Jamaican and am not comfortable with Jamaicans, cause of there Bob Marley way
