izzou:People will die anyway. The flu has killed 62000 hunger kills many more. You can't cos of that ask people to stay home, you may reduce corona deaths or even suspend for a while ( as people with underlying illness will die of something else if not well taken care of) but hunger will kill not just the vulnerable but healthy too |

Iamgrey5: Is it that you are enjoying this back and forth quotes, or you are deliberately forcing yourself not to understand me? Now we are currently on lockdown Is Iamgrey infected? No If the lockdown is lifted, is it possible for him to be infected? Obviously yes The reason why you are seeing increased numbers is because THEY HAVE INCREASED THE NUMBER OF TESTS. THEY HAVE INCREASED THE NUMBER OF TESTS. THEY HAVE INCREASED THE NUMBER OF TESTS. THEY HAVE INCREASED THE NUMBER OF TESTS If you conduct a test for 1 million people today, you'll see an increased number. It just shows you that these are the infected ones, not necessarily that they caught it today But if you remove the lockdown, it becomes more difficult to find them, and the infected ones(who don,t know) will keep spreading it. I hope your next quote wont let us dwell on this anymore 4 Likes 1 Share |

fortran12: Because you can prevent malaria in the course of your day to day activities, you can’t prevent Covid 19 if everyone is moving freely. Malaria has a cure, this doesn’t. I really don’t care anymore. If we want lockdown fine, if you want to open up fine. Like I said our population could do with pruning anyway. At the end of the day, it will end one day it will end. I will remain on lockdown to give myself the best chance to be alive when it is all over! People are free to do as they wish. 2 Likes |

izzou:No They have not increased the test. They are still doing the same thing they did before the lock down. The head the NDDC himself said yesterday that they are still testing half their capacity. In a press conference on Friday, a representative of NDDC said they do not need to do house to house testing as done in other countries that implemented lock down because according to him" they are not in the race to test the most patients" All this despite the fact that evidence as shown that testing and isolating is the most important activity to curb the spread of the virus. In other African countries that implemented a lock down, Ghana has tested close to 100,000 people, South Africa close to 150,000 people in the same period as Nigeria. None of this countries has half our population. Nigeria have only tested 10,000. People. |

djon78: Not ignorance per se...more like 'my pocket is dry and I am suffering because the lockdown has closed my means of employment' (And just this past week, Mikano sacked 400 workers. They are not the first company to do so, and they won't be the last) The problem is, we loosen things, and it might get worse. The economy then would be the least of our worries. |

izzou: Let it be lifted. Until our govt start telling us the truth. This country's politician are a worst nightmare and more dangerous than the pandemic. To me, the only reason for the extension after governors held their meeting is to enable them loot more as ganduje is already expecting 13bn so others will demand theirs 1 Like |
