valarmorghulis: I tire for the way some of these folks reason, they are the only region that lacks the boldness to speak or make threats alone, they will always find a way to drag south south with them. but one thing that I'm certain of is that the majority of South South folks can see beneath the fake love exhibited by them cos even the Jonathan presidency wouldn't have been possible without the support of South West 6 Likes |

The total registered votes in the two region is not that significant in national elections. Especially as APC is currently winning more elections in the two Regions. Combine the two regions all together Kaduna and Kano will take care of them in election. By the way Biafra or 2023 elections? 2 Likes |

You have a strong point for speaking up for your geopolitical zone. However, you left some facts unchecked and some realities mixed up. First, have you considered if your position was informed by equitable representation or just borne out of sheer hatred for a certain clan? Remember the North West had come twice (Buhari and Yaradua) and only very few south easterners raised an eyebrow about that. Why do so now that APC is expected to respect its clause on merger that birthed it? So we can invariably conclude that your write up was stimulated by selective ethnic profiling. Personally, I do not care about which tribe or geopolitical zone anyone who would lead Nigeria aright should come from. For real, we have seen one or two nigerian presidents whose tribesmen suffered from far worse dearth of infrastructural facilities while their sons were presidents, except few kingsmen who benefitted from their loots and nepotism. Mind you, APC has not done anything reasonable to warrant being re-elected once more. So it may eventually not matter where they select their candidate from unless he has a good personality and attractive profile, and not just the political party's platform. Whatever our scheming is, we need redress the marginalization of one geopolitical zone. Yet, we must remember that power is not given; it is taken. |

We will continue to hammer the truth without being apologetic about it. Yorubas have done their turn, if there is zoning (which means turn by turn). It will be the turn of the Igbos. If the yoruba cannot wait and queue for their own turn after turn, let them forgerrit.Justice and equity. The PDP will wait for APC to reveal their flagbearer, if the give it to the SW, then the North+SE+SS will team up in PDP and meet them at the polls. God so good, yorubas don't have numbers to make themselves president just as they have mocked the East. They have only helped others to win 2 out of 8 presidential elections in the history of this country and have never made themselves president. The only equitable thing to do is for both parties to zone it to the East. Those hypocrites shouting and crying about unity on TVs, Radios and social media should walk the talk and insist that the East gets the presidency. There can be no unity without, equity and justice. 2 Likes |

Count South South out of this,we are not Tribalistic. After the defeat of Jonathan till now. Do you still see online or offline the South South youths or elders persistently attacking other tribes politically? No We are wiser and know our worth. So stop involving us in this Tribalistic sentimental permutations of 2023 elections. Do you think it is by accident that the chairmen of the two major political parties are both South South. Yes we are not yet there, but we're moving forward. God bless South South. God bless Nigeria!!! 1 Like |

AmTruth: Leave them, they dont know, Johnathan lost and we moved on, and we are scheeming, we know we will have a shot at it again before it goes East. You guys need to play matured politics, dont put all your eggs in a basket, the South South is playing PDP and APC, the south west the same, the north the same, but the South east are just fixated on supporting any thing that the majority are against.. Come 2023 if PDP wins the south south wins, if APC wins, the south south wins... But go to the East if APC should win again, it will be another four years of lamentation and forcing of South south's name into anything they want to say. We are indigenous people of niger delta.. IPND, We have our own identity and we can speak for ourselves 1 Like |

LarryBee1k:Silly analysis. You people are wallowing in comical fantasy. It is very obvious you don't understand how the north play their politics. You expect the north to cede power to the South West and raise the possibility of the south holding onto power after 8 years? The north will cede power under the condition that they are entitled to regain it after 8 years. Obj and Jonathan did 13 years cumulative so only a naive person will suppose that the desire to still hold power after Buhari is not a possibility northern power brokers are contemplating. A northern PDP candidate like Atiku will rubbish anybody the APC throw up from the South West. Forget the noise and propaganda, most northern leaders know it not the turn of the South West....They rather retain power than initiate an imbalance with dire implications as highlighted above. 1 Like |

Sctests:Succinctly articulated. If you sow the wind, you reap the whirlwind. Tomorrow people will be foaming at the mouth about the Igbos are doing and are not doing... We are watching to see which way the cat jumps. In the fullness of time, we shall lay our cards on the table. The Igbos have respected equity and fairness to the extent of being the last to choose/benefit If some misguided elements think they can shunt/distort/manipulate the system, we shall watch as the whole scenario plays out. Buhari and indeed a good number of northern leaders threatened/arm-twisted their way to power. Today, the selective amnesia is very much playing out, nobody bases political entitlement of the north of angelic disposition. Obasanjo was made president in 1999 even when he had no political traction in his geopolitical zone. Now that the turn of the Igbos has eventuated, you get to hear sundry discordant voices.... Once again, we are watching.. |
