I'm yet to hear of any proactive steps taken by the south East governors.

I wonder why they lockdown the south East without any measures.

Im surely there are many positive cases in the SE but the governors are hiding it.

May God heal our land

Re: Ogun Launches COVID-19 Mobile Laboratory For Testing (Photos) by SmartProf(m): 8:47am On Apr 28, 2020
Very commendable..although it's caption as a mobile lab depicted that it could be moved around, but on reading the content that's not what is gonna happen. Weldone to the genuine efforts of very few governors.

This is very good, Ogun state has many remote villages and really bad roads so they should just test at the villages without risking cross-infection by travelling to testing sites.

While they are doing this and Innoson are working towards making ventilators some people are carrying out 'verbal autopsy'.

People will argue we do not have the capacity. We do but looting funds is prioritised over public service. When there is a way, there is a will.

The NCDC and Minister of Health have been pathetic. Poor preparation since January.

Lockdown means nothing without testing, isolating and treating infected ones.

Supported by 54gene?

54 Gene is an advanced medical science company that has just raised $15m in investment capital. Its science allows medical treatment to be specifically customised for the African gene. Most drugs were created with Europeans and Africans in mind. Solid bio-technology company.

I think I see what you are saying on a second read. 54gene certainly isn't supporting this. But government must always take credit even where it isn't due.

They should stop praising Ogun State. It is a company in partnership with FCMB. I would have said when Nigerian government developed initiative to channel funds towards something that will benefit the masses.

Thank you 54gene and FCMB.

We need the Academia and Private sector on board. CACOVID should channel funds to empower the academia to come up with innovative solutions to the Covid-19 spread in the country.

I have lost hope in the government and public sector.

Lockdown means nothing without testing, isolating and treating infected ones.
