If Cross River State was there I'd have disregarded this whole process. How do you run a state wherein you're answerable to the citizens with little or no accountability. We don't see budgets, the Governor only talks of budget performance which isn't commensurate with the work on ground.

How I wish they use this model to disburse funds monthly to states. Accountability should be the watch word in a system that works.

Must the whole state suffer as a result of incompetency of their leader?
Remember the load by federal government will be paid by the entire Nigeria and will also affect states that didn't receive the grant.

So u want them to give states with little or no accountability money How do we encourage them to do the right thing and improve their performance. U cannot give such grant to everybody. Wosrt scenario the states will take the monies as a loan with incentives to payback individually so it's not a burden to the fg alone.

Fg can't collect a loan and dash few states.

It's very simple. Lagos state and Niger Delta area states have huge allocations and IGR which they're wasting and looting on a large scale, there's no way they could put their revenues and spending out there for the public to scrutinise without attracting attention and questions
