I think the Minister of Finance said Nigeria is not owing IMF, that that's the reason Nigeria was not among the list of nations whose debt is being forgiven by IMF

You just quoted a list including the term "outright debt cancellation" but claim there is no request for loan cancellation.

What you can argue is that he didn't say Nigeria specifically needs debt cancellation - he was referring to a group of countries that need assistance.

Are you saying the assistance he requested for involves loan cancellations cus I can only see concessional loan which means loan with lesser interest rate n flexible payment plans.

IMF and WORLD BANK should not cancel the debts of Nigeria, the government of Nigeria should be made to pay for all the money they are holding these financial institutions. My question is that, what is the possibility that the government will not ask for another loan from these financial institutions if these debts are cancelled?

They have no idea that Europe’s main strength over African nations is the debt they’ve convinced and manipulated then to owe. Dumb leaders!!

No amount of magic will convince the Europeans to leave African nations debt free because that’s the stranglehold they have on them.
