The government told Nigerians after protests by the NMA/ARD and concerned citizens that Chinese Doctors will not treat patients in Nigeria or have anything to do with our healthcare system.

In fact, Lai himself said that they came strictly for CCECC staff.So what are they "busy working at our isolation centres, putting together & setting up their equipment they brought." for? Today the story have changed. Believe this lying government @ your own peril.

Lai Mohammed reiterated it yesterday, both in English and Yoruba that the Chinese are helping to set up equipment they brought and training our doctors in their usage (capacity building). He emphasized that the Chinese medical personnels will not be treating or seeing any of our patients neither will they prescribe drug or administer treatment.

These doctors are for the Elite, yes the Elite do not trust Nigerian doctors and since the Elite cannot fly abroad for medical tourism, they have imported Chinese Doctors to treat them. The Government spent nearly 2 million dollars flying these Chinese doctors into Nigeria.

Before & after their arrival here in Nigeria, the Nigerian government clearly stated that the came because of suspected CCECC employees affected by COVID19 & have nothing to do with Nigerian patients, any capacity building or the Nigerian health system. NMA vehemently opposed having any anything to do with these chinese doctors.

That position was dubious at best.
Did CCECC have a substantial number of sick(COvid 19) patients then?
If they did, why weren't they treated as others in the isolation centres (see of whom were expatriates)?

The Chinese doctors were alleged to have been placed on a 2 week isolation before being allowed to attend to their mission in Nigeria. Did the CCECC affected staff have to wait for that long to be attended to?

I told 9jarealist that all wasn't well with that position (i.e. that they were to attend to Chinese alone) but he felt differently. I hope this is not true. But ask yourself, isn't it easier to sent the sick Chinese back to China for treatment than to have doctors flown over here then spending 2 weeks in self isolation ?
