Just two buildings? Haba what's now "near completion"?

A University doesn't necessarily have to be multiple buildings as we have seen in UK, USA and Canada, times without number!!

Waste of money.

We keep building private universities like the way we build secondary schools everywhere.

They can't find cure for anything or add value to the Society except adding to the unemployment rate.

When the owner dies, what become of the university and the students?

Students are withdrawn and the university properties becomes a tug of war between the wives.
9ja for u imagine Edo state for instance has up to 12 institutions at the end of the day no bttr industry.

So many universities, no job!!!

Good effort though why not build factories that can process our natural resources

That's what this government should be looking at!!!

If there's anything like reincarnation, may Nigeria NEVER experience a Buhari again!!!

They are creating jobs indirectly, the school will employ teachers, and other staff. Atleast it’s better than keeping $50000000 of government money in your bedroom.

Too many private universities, they're just building universities as if it is a public school. Later snakes and bushes will occupy most schools later

You are right in a way. It's his money . how I wish the Federal Government can partner with investors to solve problems which in turn yield profits.

It's all about insight

Look at innoson, even graduates can go there and get first hand experience rather than all these theories, universities are dishing out

Skilled businesses like this is what we really need if we want to diversity, move away from consuming to manufacturing economy

All the government would have done is to find people that can key into their vision.

As the major problem facing this country right now is lack of employment

I've been saying it, it's not the responsibility of government to create companies, factories and the likes,

if they can provide social amenities eg good transportation network, electricity, good economic policies, maintenance culture etc
they can wait for investors to key in, who doesn't like better n working environment

How about lectures, non academic staffs and even the security guys that will be employed.

Building universities creates employment opportunities to bro
You made a point though but consider the numbers;
How many lecturers will be employed? How many security guards? How many cleaners?
Now compare that to the massive number of workers that'll be employed in a factory. And in few years the factory will expand, building branches in other places and employing more workers

Well, nice investment. School everywhere but no jobsz
Because they're all building artificial universities. In Germany they build more of Advanced technical training institutions that produce skilled manpower for the nation. In Nigeria few research & technology institutions.

We need more FACTORIES and INDUSTRIES in Nigeria.
We need Stable Light.

It's difficult driving through streets of Los Angeles/ San Fransisco without seeing FACTORIES and coupling plants.
The JUICE FACTORIES alone, in some states in the US put together can create 20million Jobs in Nigeria.
I can barely count the Juice in Nigeria ( Chivita, Five Alive, Frutta and help me remember them...?).
The same applies to China.
Universities are not even littered like this in the US.
We need to create jobs, so as to absorb people coming out.
We know Universities are Good, but the ones we have on ground are serving.
Except this one has been designed to be a Special Technical College/University

In the same vein, people need to plan the number of kids they envisage to have in future.
The suffering in Nigeria is just too much.
THANKS BROTHER FOR THIS. UNIVERSITIES ARE EVERYWHERE BUT NO FACTORIES... IN A THIRD COUNTRY. WHAT WE NEED NOW ARE FACTORIES IN ALL NOOKS AND CRANNIES OF NIGERIA OPERATING 24/7, PRODUCING ALL SORT OF STUFFS. IF THERE'S ANYTHING TO LEARN FROM THE PRESENT PANDEMIC, IT IS THAT RELYING ON CHINA AS THE FACTORY OF THE WORLD IS NOT IN THE INTEREST OF AFRICAN COUNTRIES.

With which electricity, which water which good road network bros burn that thing we must fix the country first. Nigeria is so worthless that we can't even switch to a socialist economy. Africa has failed last last but it depends on us to rise from failure.
