Nnamdi Kanu Celebrates Sen. Kalu's Freedom, Issues Ultimatum to FG Over Dariye, 3 Others

The leader of the Indigenous People Of Biafra, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, on Friday celebrated the release of the Chief Whip, Sen. Orji Uzor Kalu after he recorded victory at the apex Court.

Igbere TV had reported that the Supreme Court sitting in Abuja on Friday unanimously overturned the conviction of Senator Orji Uzor Kalu in the “N7. 65 billion” fraud.

Speaking over the victory, Kanu said "there are other victims of this lopsided prosecution, they are incarcerated and MUST be released until all stolen money by this cabal is accounted for, starting from the nearly 14Billion Aso Rock Clinic they looted from 2015 to date."

He noted that all reasonable Igbo people are happy over the release of Orji Kalu.

He also issued ultimatum to the Federal government and called for the immediate release of the following people:

Joshua Dariye
Jolly Nyame
James Bala Ngilari"

The statement reads in full,

"God Almighty Chukwu Okike Abiama takes all the glory but I must also say that the moderately reasonable Alimajiri judge that quashed the original conviction should be commended for saving Abba Kyari & the rest of the core north from damaging scrutiny and global shame by #IPOB. Those that ignore our warnings do so at their peril. "

"We have set Orji Uzor Kalu free today and while all reasonable Igbo people are happy, I am also looking forward to hearing the same about Olisah Metuh soon."

"There are other victims of this lopsided prosecution, they are incarcerated and MUST be released until all stolen money by this cabal is accounted for, starting from the nearly 14Billion Aso Rock Clinic they looted from 2015 to date."

"I am calling for an end to selective prosecution and the immediate release of the following people:

Joshua Dariye
Jolly Nyame
James Bala Ngilari"

"Until such a time that Nigeria is serious about prosecuting all looters, nobody should be in prison. You cannot be jailing Christians from the Middle Belt and South in the name of fighting corruption while Fulani arch looters are jostling for who will be the next Chief of Staff and in effect de-facto president. Such injustice is what we are against not your fight against corruption."

Recall that in statement made available to Igbere TV on Friday personally signed by him, Kalu said the past five months have provided him an opportunity to learn invaluable lessons about Nigeria

He thanked Nigerians and the judiciary and revealed that the judgement reaffirmed his belief in the judicial system

The man is in struggle for personal gain, his struggle has never been about making life better for his fellow Abians or Easterners, cos if it was, he wouldn't be supporting the ex Governor of his home state who stole money that could have been used to better the life of Abians.

If it's true,that means he is still mad for celebrating someone that stole n pillaged your state.

If Kanu said this then he must know something that isn't in the public domain.

But what is the connection between Biafra's restoration and Orji Kalu's corruption case?

It is interesting that Kanu is even commenting on the issue.

That Nigerian government has shown selectivity by prosecuting and jailing mainly Christian and Southern CORRUPT POLITICIANS should really not be of any interest to IPOB. That's my take.
It is still corrupt and thieving politicians that were prosecuted.
The other fact that they happen to be largely Christians is secondary and still of little consequence.
Let the Northern and Western Muslims continue to pamper their thieving politicians, and help the East eradicate hers. They are only doing us a favour indirectly. They are helping us make thievery unattractive in the East.
It should never be in the place of IPOB and to point out the bias.
It is left for Eastern and Christian politicians whose comrades-in-thievery are being sent to jail in a lopsided fight against corruption to point out the bias.
I do not want to imagine IPOB should concern itself with such things.
That will be a hell of a distraction.
So, because there are more corrupt politicians from the North and Western parts of the "corn-tree" walking free and freely enjoing their loot, every other thieving politician from other sides of the dichotomies should be let off the hook until a time when there is a government in power that is willing to remove biases and dichotomies from court trials.

Well, what can I say.
Let's wait and watch.
It is possible there is more to this issue than can be told all at once.
I will wait to see the sense and meaning of it all.
Perhaps, Orji Uzor Kalu will serve a greater good for us.
We will get to see.
