In Nigeria, jobs are what determines our standard of living in the society. The house we live, the car we drive, our clique of friends and sometimes who we will marry are dependent on the job we do.

Going to School is important but doesn't still guarantee the good job. Some that are not privileged to attend any are still equally successful and even Billionaires, what happened? It is our choices of job we choose.

Here is the list of the top ten well paid jobs in Nigeria.

5) Software Developer: Generally, IT related jobs are hotcakes, Software Developer (programmer) are leading in the IT industry. Since the world is going digital, the demand for Software Developer will continually increase.

Although, their population in Nigeria is relatively low. it's rare to see an unemployed software developer. They can choose to be independent or work in an organization.

On the average, they earn around 400,000NGN on a monthly basis. Although, their job is mentally exhausting. Not everybody likes writing codes.

4) Pilot : Aviation is the most expensive transportation. Pilot are equally well paid. To become a pilot requires a lot of Professional Education, Certification, Dedication, Resilient and being meticulous.

A Nigerian Pilot earns between 700,000 NGN to 1 Million NGN monthly. While a Captain working for an international company earns 2million NGN upward.

3) Surgeon: this job is a noble profession. To become a Surgeon is not an easy feat. Alot of hardwork, dedication, education and periodical trainings have to be invested in it.

Funny enough, the population of Surgeon in Nigeria is still quite low. On the average, a Surgeon earns over 500,000 NGN, while, Surgeon with years of experience earns over a Million NGN monthly. The least paid ( interns ) earn over 150,000 NGN. There service are quite expensive.

For example, Brain Surgery cost around 950,000 to 1.5 Million NGN. Generally, the medical profession generally are well paid.

2) Pastors: Men of God are second on the list. Being a pastor is extremely lucrative in Nigeria. When Jesus was alive, he rode on Donkey to Galilee. But now, our pastor rides the best Cars, live in expensive houses, use body guards and even use bullet proof vest to Crusades.

Why are they rich ? It is because churches don't pay tax, so whatever profit they make from tithe and offering belongs to them.

For example, David Oyedepo - the founder of Winners chapel is estimated to be worth over 54 billion NGN, making him the richest pastor in Nigeria. PLEASE, IF GOD CALLS YOU, DON'T HESITATE TO ANSWER!!

1) BUSINESS: it is the most well paid job in Nigeria. Because, " YOU ARE YOUR OWN BOSS" whatever you make as profit belongs to you, nobody dares question you. As long as you have the the Capital and the Idea to maintain the business, that's all.

There is no University Degree needed to be in this category. The richest people in the world, like - Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg, Henry Ford, Rockefeller etc In Nigeria, the likes of - Dangote, Otedola, Mike Adenuga are examples of respectable billionaire in Nigeria.

My advise, " If you have the Idea and Capital, invest in Business".

In conclusion, Education is important but not all jobs requires a University degree in order to be successful doing them. All that matters is Hardwork, Dedication, Willingness to learn from Superior and Prayer with this, The Sky is not the limit but the starting point.

Ladies and Gentlemen! What do you think?
