President Muhammadu Buhari, was on Sunday, reminded of the need to review the stance of his party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), and seriously consider implementing recommendations of the 2014 National Conference.

Speaking in exclusive chat with Daily Independent on Sunday, renowned diplomat and former Minister of Foreign Affairs, Prof. Ibrahim Gambari, warned against the yielding to the temptation to jettison the all-important recommendations, based on the feeling in some quarters that the conference was convened by former President Goodluck Jonathan for selfish reasons.

North don't really see Ilorin people as proper North and South west will never allow them take their slots in National politics.

Hence, they tend to be generally an orphan when it comes to national politics.

That was the main reason Saraki's embarrassment was quite easy for APC.

Kwara has more people who identifies as Yoruba than Northerners

The highest percentage of non Yorubas are in Kwara north amongst the Bariba and Nupe. Yet, a good number of Bariba can speak and understand Yoruba because of our shared history.

Why do you think Yorubas or those linked to Yorubas have often won elections in Kwara state.

I don't really know the local language of the Baribas but unlike Nupes who don't really speak Yoruba except for a few, they tend to speak and understand Yoruba well.

And apparently, they are were the first to settle some Core Yoruba states of today. E.g. Kishi in Oyo state today.
