LandOwners:that is not the ultimate solution... people will still spread it no matter the carefulness. Lock down while we look for the cure is the ultimate solution to this. |

Saintinoo: govts can only put in measures where people pay taxes......remmember that! People want palliatives but we have one of the lowest tax base and compliance rates in the world. Where are they supposed to get the money for paliatives? Nigeria has the lowest tax to GDP in the WHOLE OF AFRICA!! If you dont pay tax, dont complain. 1 Like |

We are kuku mad in this country. All the iya alata (pepper sellers) and welders that make a huge chunk of the greater populace is now being asked via 'online polls' to know if the lockdown should be continued. Many of whom are struggling to use a palasa itel. Meanwhile voice on the streets today in Port Harcourt according to a journalist interview on one of the local channels is that Wike should allow the lockdown to ease so that many people will return back to their villages. Lack of emphathy in this sinful part of this wicked world is our greatest bane. Many of them can survive a more than a year total lockdown, these are the people that make the decision for the general populace. |

Bullshit You want to decide on ppl fate by mere twitter poll. How many Ogun citizens/residents follow that account on Twitter. These ppl in government would never take anything seriously. If u really want to feel ppl pain and give them the chance to voice out. Make a good publicity of the poll.Carry out the poll on radio, on fb, the state website - or even create a website for it, in the markets. etc. Lay down reasons why it ll be good to stop lockdown, and to continue lockdown. Let the ppl decide. If they truly want to do the ppl will they wouldn't have made such a ridiculous, partial, bias and lazy poll. |

obiekunie2: My brother, God bless you! You know my issues with this government is that, they always taking us for a fool. Majority of people suffering from this lockup wahala are poorest of the poors who can hardly afford itel phones or small techno not to talk of Android or iPhone. So, please! Without Android or iPhone gadget how can they have a say in the government ill advice method of opinion aggregation? How many of them can afford data, what of educational capabilities? Whereas most of our government officials can't operate laptops successfully if not by the aids of their so called special advisers on tweeter handle, digital media, etc. They are just clueless! Masses must liberates themselves!. |

Ningen: Exactly. It shows the type of 'leaders' we've got, the only time they are quick to decide (without recourse to public opinion) is when they see an opportunity to steal money. |

Average man that never eat will never pray for continuation of lockdown, the people that vote are rich people that can afford money to buy data to vote online, ask carpenter, tailor, pepper sealer, danfo driver, etc if lockdown should continue. |

Don't take the poll result serious. Someone walking freely in Kogi would be voting for continuation of lockdown for Ogun. It'll only makes sense if the poll can ve restricted to only residents in Ogun. 1 Like |

Online poll cannot reflect the mind of the people. What % of the citizens have access to electricity, smartphones, down to Twitter app? How many citizens on Twitter follows their handle? À far greater % is out there and needs daily income. |

OJURONGBE1: Unemployment na Nigeria problem generally. Even Lagos there are more of hustlers than people gainfully employed. Idleness and Laziness give rise to cultism. |
