If the federal government was paying their air ticket, do you think they'll be able to afford it? There are many Nigerians abroad who want to come back due to the fact that their visas had expired, but can't return because they are broke. It would have been a very good opportunity for them na.

My issue is, are they being asked to pay for isolation and feeding because they are returnees or is that a criteria for isolation? Does that mean those currently being isolated in Nigeria including the states outside Lagos are paying for their isolation and feeding?

Make they just stay back jare, since they are gonna pay for everything.


This is a recent letter, so those already isolated are being taken care of by federal government. The new returnees yet to come are to adhere to this new rule. They are to pay their money for isolation together with their flight ticket.

how much did the billionaire contribute and how much will it take government to pay the returnees tickets and accommodate,free them and then also treat those with convid 19 as well as give out palliatives

the cost of flight, accommodate and feeding per person is about 1 million times about 2-5k returnees..that about 20 billion naira...the cost of palliatives and managing of coronavirus isn't even inclusive


fyi, americans and Europeans are made to pay their flight tickets too, Nigerians arent

Nija dey try i beg. Even US they are paying for their medical bills Covid patients, here government gives free medical for those once that tested positive. The government haven't done anything bad.

What kind of accommodation are we talking about?
Federal government is charging them N15,000 per night. That’s N30,000 for two nights but the same government find it difficult to pay the same amount (N30,000) as monthly salary to a civil servant.

How can you charge that amount per night?

You talk as if the FG has done anything for its citizens. Even the ones that pay tax enjoy nothing. These ones will pay and nothing will be done for them.

If you don't know what is happening keep shut... Your government is not paying a dine on flight, everyone are responsible for their tickets fees.

I think this is a fairly good context but in this current state a bad one for the nation.
1st they need to research on what the evacuates do for a living and compare to the cost of airlifting them.
Remember the whole mentality changes once they reach the very shore of their father's land.
Why not look at reducing the price a bit to reduce the burden.
15k per day for someone that his or her movement is restricted �
Govt trying to suck them dry.
