I have continued to see many posts on Nairaland on marriage and relationships. Many of these write-ups justify why men should not spend on women they are dating. Anyway, relationship should not be based on selfish purposes. A lady has no right to keep pestering her boyfriend for money in any way. Both of you should bear every cost of your needs. Nevertheless, if your girlfriend is not working and you as a guy is working, you are expected to bear the cost of needs for both of you. If you cannot, don't date her.

In marriage, a man should provide for his family. If the wife is working, both can bear the expenses. Please, as a man, don't marry if u don't have a job. In case of job loss, try and rise to the occasion. You must get another legal means of income. Don't rely on your wife to feed the family. Don't rely on your wife's money! It is wrong to do so! Don't rant on Nairaland that your wife is not giving you support financially! Please, save us these gibberish! Hustle guys. Hustle for your wife and children! A good wife will always support her husband in all spheres. Your attitude to hardwork matters. Please, don't come on this platform to rant again that your wife no dey give u money. Look for more means of income friends and when you make it, don't you ever try to impress your wife. Just provide the necessities and save for raining days.

Nice points.

But whatever you offer a girlfriend is a gift not a requirement. She's not your full responsibility yet.
