You are the one being emotional here. What international stance or relevance does Peter Obi have? His name only rings a bell in our local politics.

As for American influence, he who plays the piper dictates the tune! If they weren't funding the AfDB, their observations would have been dismissed as drunken talk.
Let the black race get its act together and no America will intimidate it!
How come America isn't talking shìt towards the Chinese or Asian bloc in general?
There is no technology or intelligence that is beyond Africa's reach, yet they choose to be dundees and beggars of the world. Africans cannot resist the urge to mess things up yet, they somehow expect respect from the world.

As for Adeshina, as long as there is transparency in the probe, let him go and defend himself and If he is indeed being unjustly persecuted, he will be vindicated.

What's tha business?
His support helped atiku to clear southern Nigeria to the extent your vice president lost his polling unit.

Atiku failed in the north. Peter obi passed in the south.

Don't misconstrue the facts of that election.

Even Shonekan himself announced MKO as his Vice and other Yoruba’s into his cabinet. But MKO didn’t accept it and went behind to collabo with his friend Abacha to remove Shonekan, going as far as nominating ministers for Abacha, against the advice of his loyalists.

Below is Shonekan’s minister. Note the Igbos there were only three, Chukwmerije, Nnaji and another chap.

What else remains of the false Yoruba narratives against the Igbos on Abiola’s fall.

Below is the list of Shonekan’s appointee, however a few declined his appointment.

The moment you posted that election results, the loud mouthed bros that had been regurgitating propaganda went quiet.

I am sure that was his first time of actually seeing the June 12 results.

Every day these guys make me regret the support we gave to Abiola in 1993, even when our son was on the opposing ballot paper.

The day we understand that not only Nigerians come to nairaland, that as the largest online forum in Africa CIA agents will be coming here to gauge opinions, that day we will mind how we bash ourselves in such external issues. Not minding our internal disagreements we should be united at the external affair, any sane Nigerian will support Adesina. It’s all about struggle to take control of African markets against the deeper penetration of China, there are also other control issues. If you know you know. Trump fights dirty.

The IBOs never supported Abiola. I have never being part of your discussion and don't know the result you are talking about. Abiola narrowly won Anambra because Ezeife was a sitting governor under SDP. Anambra was under SDP government. Anthony Anenih was the Chairman of SDP. Anenih, a political technocrat knew the Ibos will not vote for Abiola specifically tasked Ezeife to deliver his state for the party by all means. Anambra had a narrow margin compared to other SDP states.

Imo, the present Imo and Abia voted against Abiola. Rivers, the present Rivers and Bayelsa voted against Abiola because of the large presence of Ibos in portharcourt and the Ikweres. Delta, AkwaIbom and Cross River voted for Abiola. Abiola was worried about Rivers result because Abiola won Kano and Jigawa Tofa base, but we know the IBOs caused it. Even, Enugu voted against Abiola. Edo, Delta, AkwaIbom & Cross River can never be forgotten in June 12 struggle.

Ngozi okonjo contested for world bank presidency, Yoruba's led the campaign against her candidacy... But we have showed unalloyed support to Adesina... I hope we all are learning one or two lessons

This is what I keep saying. We Ibos tend to be too civilized but the yoruba take it to be stupidity.

That's why yoruba have the guts to believe they can keep insulting and opposing 'Igbo presidency' while hopeful that the SE/SS will vote yoruba again over a Northerner. That will not happen.

We have cleared that doubt already that it is better the North rules forever than a yoruba enters that sit again before an Ibo.

Adeshina should face his charge. He may smell clean due to image laundering by yorubas but if you scratch the surface of every yorubaman, there is bound to be some element of fraud in his CV.

I have attacked Okonjo Iweala severally for the fraud under GEJ government and I stand on my position. What has that got to do with a man about to finish a 5 year term and the possibility of another term unopposed? The American system of using probe to destroy public image of a person or party before a suspected victorious outing is not allowed here. What they did to Clinton and Trump is not allowed here. This is not UN, no VETO power here. Their investment does not give them veto power. If they had invested in Islamic Development Bank, can they try that?

Whatever gives you the right to pretend to be 'objective' in attacking NOI, Onyema, Soludo even though we know it is ethnically motivated, also gives the Americans the right to ask for Adeshina's head on a plate.

You cannot approbate when it suits and reprobate at the same time when it suits you.

Don't mix things together. Prof Charles Soludo is my hero and mentor. He is a genius and very objective. Prof complained about policies under GEJ and challenged Okonjo Iweala. It almost degenerated into a public debate. Weak economic policies that spent every income, borrowed more under high income and spent part of money saved by previous government is not done anywhere.

If Nigeria had increased the reserve to $100 billion, the continuous borrowing would have reduced. You cannot mismanage your wealth and now a great debtor and still be managing a multilateral financial institution like AFDB. That is the message of US

If Adesina was from SS/SE region.. The story and tones from the SW region would have been different..

You would hear statements like

"SS/SE like defending their sons unlike we in the SW"
"Anyone that has worked with GEJ we aren't supprised"
"Nobody should interfere with US probe"

Did you people care to know who announced Abiola winner of that election?

His name is Humphrey Nwosu.

Did you people care to know what he went through for going against the military powers headed by Hausa, to announce a Yoruba man a President?

Abacha so dealt with him that till today he is still suffering from that trauma, still fidgeting.

That's how far an Igboman went to support a Yoruba, but in the end I ND what do we get?

The usual insults.
