Are u an Audi specialist? Manage per gallon... That means its not friendly at all.

I am not a specialist of any car though.

When going out with the car on long journey I don't buy less than 10k worth of fuel then not that I even use it finish.

I normally run city driving just joy ride the car around town and enjoy the many available facilities it has to offer.

I don't really expect you to be concerned about fuel economy people who buy such cars are only concerned about performance from the engine and status it would give them.

If you are looking out for speed and ruggedness, the BMW brand will give you these with less worries......

I am a BMW fan, 8 years back to back and counting.

The electrical issues are less than what the Audi/Volkswagen is offering you.....

There are many rugged cars that are speed monsters.
Cadillac,
BMW's,
Infiniti,
Lexus

Seems to want German, though. MB would be the best option, but he doesn't like the brand, which is a fair take imo.

Cadillac doesn't offer a V8 outside the V series. Lexus V8s are pretty uninspiring. BMW V8s all have rod bearing issues.

Only option here for him is an Infiniti M56, which should scratch that speed itch.

Have you considered Porsche? You can get a Cayenne S with the 4.5L V8 within your budget. It's a Porsche, it's built for handling and speed.

Oga sir , the kind of job am into, its better to go discreet. Porsche name alone carries some swag. The thing with Audi is even if the car is worth 1bn, people might not really know except automobile experts. And again I just want another new black Audi so no one will even know really know I changed my car.

You can debadge it, chief. People would just assume it's another SUV. Those cars don't stand out at all.

I guess the S6 is your best option, then.

If the Porsche cayenne will announce your arrival, the Audi S6 or S8 will do same. Unless na poor people u dey roll with.

Both Audi's are "in your face". There is no way your circle will mistake the A4 for s6 or s8.

Audi's are essentially Volkswagen's. Same issues.
If you found the A4 a bit of a challenge to maintain, the S8 will dig a hole for you.

I can't advise you on any car to choose. Buy what you like. Since you already have a fairly capable hand who has cut his teeth on the a4, the s8 shouldn't be too difficult for him to maintain as well but you will be much more patient for jobs to be performed on the s8 while you use the a4 as your backup car.

I don't think they're that bad, tbh. The few ones I know aren't really unreliable or anything. They have their fair share of issues, but that comes with being a 10+ year old luxury vehicle.

@ op, Audi is generally a nice car but continously enjoying the ride in Nigeria depends on regular service, original parts and experience of your mechanic. In my own case I have an Audi A6 manual gearbox, year 2005 and only one mechanic do the service of my car in Nigeria. The guy is good in fixing German cars, more-so he prefers you get original parts before he work on your machine.

In terms of fuel consumption, I drive on full thanks from Lagos to Agbor before I think of topping up my tank again. Though I used my Audi A6 for three years in Germany before shipping it to Nigeria as my back up car and I never for a minute regretted it, as it never developed fault nor stopped on the road both home and abroad.
I don't know about S8 but I believe you have a fair understanding of Audi cars through the previous one you used.

You like an S8 go for it ... Sir if you can afford it and some extra cash for servicing please go for it. Just pray to be lucky enough to buy a good car with less problem. I have seen people who bought Japanese cars and regretted it, same applies to everyone out there. Just weigh up your options in terms of mechanic, original parts and accessories plus your source of income... Good luck sir.

I wise Nairalanders. Please I need review on the car Audi S8 2007. Am an ardent fan of Audi and I got an Audi A4 around November last year which have spent a fortune fixing different issue since I bought it, from water collector to brain box. Infact just last week out of no money I still spend over 200k buying brain box etc. I intend buying another Audi since to me Audi is elegant and beauty and won't even let people know how heavy your machine is. Now issue is am thinking about about Audi S8 2007 what do you guys think of this car and is there anyone who have used it before? The maintenance and other factor about it nko. And I need to know the landing cost of this car

Cc Heavenlybang Nurey Siena

Audi experts can also reveal any Audi product you feel I can opt for
Used Audi can be money pits. If you must buy, get a dealer services and maintained Audi with comprehensive service history. Good luck

Its not about poor people. Most people dnt count Audi as cars and won't even know what is in ur hood or how much it cost. You can say the same about Toyota products which can easily be guessed talking of the price.

and about the pocket, i have resolved to getting a very high tech Car scanner so once I see any issue surface, I scan and know xup. That way I can know what am spending on not some guess work and blind believing.
