Judas had the freewill to choose to betray or not to betray his master. Once the decision was taken, the law will take its course.
Jesus knew that the leaders of the temple at that time was after him and forsaw with actions of Judas that he was capable of betraying him and even warned him in advance that it was better that he was not born than for him to betray him.

It's not about hiding under choice, when a boy starts stealing and he is cautioned to stop but continues, I can confidently 'prophesy' that before five years he may be arrested or be killed.
I could do that based on his actions today. All this question is because we have the assumption that Christ came to die for our sins.
Christ did not come to die for our sins, but came to teach us the way back to God with the message of Love. The leaders of the temples at that time were not comfortable with his teachings and miracles and sought a way to stop him. First they used questions and tricks and when this did not work, they came for his head.
The greatest enemy of the Romans then was the barbarians, but the leaders of the temples prefered him to a man that was innocent. A part of the Almighty and you claim that his blood will wash away your sins.

The prophecy didnt depend on Judas role. The devil was the one using Judas to fight against the works of Christ not knowing he was fulfilling the scriptures. If Judas didnt form the habit of stealing from the purse, he might possibly not have been used by the devil.
