Mayor Lucky Igbokwe has advised the rich in the society to reachout and show love to their neighbours especially in this period of pandemic.
He said this during the distribution of relief Items to his Umuawa Alaocha community through his foundation the Don Lulu Foundation on Saturday.
Speaking to The News Gazette Online from his base in the United States the United Nations Mayor of Peace and Global Youth Ambassador said charity should begin at home and this period should call for sober reflection in the way we have related to our neighbours especially the down trodden and the poor in the society, he further advised the government both at the federal and state level to review the state of health facilities in the country with the aim of giving it enhanced priority and noted that this pandemic has exposed the inadequacies in our health system.

The News Gazette Online reports that the international Businessman and Philanthropist with the support of family and friends donated relief materials with market value at several millions of naira to the indigent in various households in Umuawa Alaocha, Ohuhu Umuahia North LGA. Items donated include over 500 bags of 10kg rice which were distributed to the various compounds in the community to mitigate the harsh impacts of the national lockdown imposed by government to curtail the spread of COVID-19 pandemic.

HRH Eze Nwakanma who came to witness the distribution of the palliatives described Mayor Lucky Igbokwe as a worthy and caring son and thanked him for his unrelenting kindness to the community.

Also speaking HRK Eze Iheanyi Nwokenna, Oba of Ekeoba said he was not surprised at what Mayor Igbokwe did through his foundation and described him as one who has always had the wellbeing of the people at heart, he advised the people to please know that Coronavirus is real and to always adhere to standard safety protocols outlined by NCDC so as to stay safe during this period while expressing optimism that the world will soon get over it.

The Managing director and CEO 2Flame Entertainment Ltd Mayor Lucky Igbokwe told the people to remain safe and not expose themselves to dangers of contracting the virus and outlined his Foundations program for 2020 which will take place after the pandemic to include medical outreach, he used the opportunity to thank all those who identified with his foundation by donating funds and materials to the people while identifying those who lent financial backing to the gesture to include Danny Ntuk of Deetucks Nig. Limited, Okoduwa Prince Akpojertor , Mr. Emeka Ogwumike, Mrs Obiora Linda Olejuru, Mr. Olise Michael Ogene,Mr. Charles Mordi , Mr. Ali Mardi and Justin GF and promised to extend more palliatives if the lockdown persists, he advised the people to always maintain good hygiene as it is the only effective way to fight off coronavirus.

The highlight of the event was the presentation of the relief items by Professor Awa Madu, National Coordinator of Don Lulu foundation to High Chief Chukwuma Abraham, the President General Umuawa Alaocha Federated Union.
