When I saw Vera thread ,I was close to tears.It hurts and no one deserves that. But has that ever changed the fact that such is likely to happen again? It will, and like "We" always do, There will be uproar, we will rant, create threads,type theoritically correct Epistles, celebrities will REACT,Pastors will pray, Offenders would be punished and then we will go back to our normal lives until another case of million cases finds it's way on the internet again then we will have a repetition of the whole process.Please who are we decieving? . Until we understand the roots and address the issue, We may never get anywhere. And since most perpetrators are MEN. Isn't it wise to try to get into the minds of these people then profer solutions rather than issue unrealistic commands Online? My NGO have been fighting for woman with such cases for over ten years now and I know the resources that has gone into that, and from my experience, Prevention remains the best law for now.

The first paragraph of my post stated that only 65 rape convictions have happened in Nigeria since 1973. If your sister is raped, would you advice her to go to a court where she won't meet justice?

Women are calling out their rapists online, and we are taking note of them. If the court of law will not convict them, let them be exposed on the internet, so that more women will know them and take caution.

Why can't you go to court if you're raped? It is stupid to assume courts can't give you justice, but social media would.
Social media isn't a court of justice! Anybody claiming to be a rape victim, and yet doesn't want to take it up in the courts shouldn't be taken seriously by sane individuals.
