No more giving such projects to Chinese. Please help develop our own local construction firms too. It's okay to recommend they work with small team of technical expert too, possibly diasporan Africans with proven experience in such area. How long do we have to continue shooting ourselves in the foot.

This is where military rule surpasses democracy. Speed of execution of public projects. How long did it take to build Third Mainland Bridge and each of our 4 refineries?

Nigerian firm

To create jobs opportunity and cut down on expatriate
What am i even saying self
Even if they give it to a Nigerian firm those firm still will require the service of expatriate because our civil engineering student and graduate dull finish

Experienced this when i was employed in national integrated power project (Nipp )electrical power plant in ihovbor, Benin city
Most of our electrical engineering graduate fall my hand for that project
If not for expatriate. That work for nor get head.
Nipp come need to employ marubeni firm then marubeni now employed ECS( electrical construction solution)
And that ECS were expatriate from Indian, Thailand and maylasian
Come see as our government come dey waste money on top these expatriate head for feeding, clothing, housing, security and so many things. Then those fuckkking Indians were patronising their own products. Even used Tata( (Indian vehicle) for transportation for inside Nigeria o
What i discovered about our engineering graduates is, they are really deficient in practical solutions applications. They are not exposed to high tech construction work. Most of our universities coursework in engineering are outdated. Some don't even know basis measurements, load bearing calculations and other simple methodologies.

China again. I think China have quality materials to use for that project. But I believe julios begger is the best on road construction.

Good analysis!
How can a serious govt abandoned/sidelined Julius Berger when the issues of Construction across the Atlantic is at stake?
China no doubt but the master is Julius Berger unless they are not playing balls!!
