Gov. Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State said on Monday in Ikeja that Nigerians could not afford to make mistakes at the 2023 general elections.

Sanwo-Olu said this at the Lagos House, at the Year 2022 Eid-ul-Adha celebration by the First Family of Lagos State, organised by the Lagos State Ministry of Home Affairs.

Represented by the deputy governor, Dr Obafemi Hamzat, he said that Nigerians must choose rightly in 2023 because it was about the country’s future.

He noted that the outcome of the 2023 general elections would greatly determine the future of Nigeria hence Nigerians could not afford to make mistakes in electing their leaders in 2023.

He stressed that the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential flag bearer, Sen. Bola Ahmed Tinubu, is the right choice for 2023 because he had built bridges across Nigeria.
He said that Tinubu had worked with persons from different regions and groups in the country, noting that he looked out for quality people to work with.

Sanwo-Olu called on residents to be loyal and obedient to the state and to country, stating that patience, obedience and loyalty were important duties residents owed the state.

According to him, parents must train their wards in godly manner and instil in them morals to be obedient, loyal and patient.

In her remarks, the governor’s wife, Dr Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu, said Eid-ul-Adha, the spiritual exercise celebrated annually exemplified the virtue of love, faith and obedience.

She stressed the importance of peaceful coexistence, noting that Lagos State was growing in leaps and bounds because of peaceful coexistence by various groups in the state.

She encouraged residents to continue to pray for peace in the country, live with the fear of God and love one another.

Sanwo-Olu said love must reflect in inter-personal relationships and advised parents to live and lead by example which their children could emulate. (NAN)

If according to him Tinubu is the right man.

Then he is wrong.

Tinubu choice of vice president will either divide the nation.

But he is saying that because he is benefiting from Tinubu's urine.

No one in his shoes that wouldn't say yes to the one that makes him the governor of Lagos state tongue.

Didn't know sanwo olu is a druggie. What else justifies his lack of awareness of the polity. You assume the right choice for the future is a man who won't see the future. You assume the role model of youths is a man marred in corruption and undemocratic practises.

Well it is his opinion, he has the right to state it, it is the listeners who would be foolish to listen and accept it.

Poor people for whom people like sanwo olu cannot identify with their daily struggles, would sit and pay attention to him for advise.

The lunatics are truly running this assylum.

Funnily enough, Tinubu is the mistake Nigerians won't make in 2023. Many Tinubu urchins are avoiding this thread because they see the word "mistake". The biggest mistake on the race is Tinubu.

Politics is about numbers. Tinubu picking a Christian Southeasterner doesn't guarantee them voting for him.
The northern christians are a minority with no electoral value to him.
The northeast haven't been in power for some time and there has been calls for power to go there in some quarters.
The man tinubu is a genius after all and not just hype.
I seriously doubt he would lose any significant vote in Southwest due to his vp choice. There are areas in southwest that ordinarily don't vote APC and they are insignificant.
To be true to ourselves, those shouting Muslim agenda and complaining about his vp choice weren't going to vote for him in the first instance and they have been very vocal about anything concerning him.
I doubt if any sincere person thinks tinubu is a strong practicing Muslim, not to talk of a fanatic one. He would choose a Christian or idol worshipper if he feels his chances would be better with them.
There really isn't a big deal, he isn't the only one contesting. Vote for the person you are comfortable with and leave him with his choice except you already conceded defeat to him.
N.B vote your obidient and atikulate and leave this man alone. After all you should be happy he would lose by his gaffe, so what's with the insult to others that disagree with your point of view!

If a political party does not have its foundation in the determination to advance a cause that is right and that is moral, then it is not a political party; it is merely a conspiracy to seize power.

And of course the mistake to be avoided @ all course is your benefactor- BAT. If anything, Tinubu’s judgement on leadership selections is more than enough proof of his lack of managerial acumen.

Those who believe that Tinubu has a peculiar skill for selecting worthwhile leaders should at least account for his prudence in fostering a crassly incompetent leader like Buhari, not once but twice! Buhari turned out to be a disaster during his first term, but Tinubu promoted him for a second term.

Anyone who watched Buhari’s recent interview with Channels Television cannot but conclude that though Buhari still has 17 months to go, Nigeria has already frittered away eight years of national life. We have been plagued with possibly the most incompetent and the most sociopathic leader in national history.

In 2015, Buhari was hardly a promising candidate, but things were not supposed to be this bad. The man did not solve any problem but, in fact, worsened every-thing with his impotence and sadistic arrogance. That was a leader Tinubu helped install twice and we
are supposed to trust his judgement again? No!

After the monumental disaster called Buhari, Nigeria cannot afford another leader whose driving motivation for the presidency is to merely fulfil a lifelong dream. Tinubu has a right to pursue his ambition but not at the expense of poor and long-suffering Nigerians already counting down to the days when Buhari’s nuisance will be escorted out of Aso Rock.

The 2023 election should be a turning point. Recruiting another bumbler as president jeopardises that chance. We can all agree that Nigeria deserves better than a candidate without a viable record of administrative success beyond the cheap propaganda retailed in the media and parroted by those who do not listen to their own thoughts before mouthing them

These people know the truth but due to selfish interests they want to bring an sickly person to government

Just like in a debate, participants would bring out points to buttress their arguments, the panel of judges would now determine the winner

So we should double our efforts, don't just get obidient, get your family , Co workers, church or muslim faithfuls, friends converted too. Let those people be fired up and take the good news to others

Be motivated that God has made our work easier

The biggest mistake Nigerians can make is to reward the 8 years of suffering and Misgovernance from this APC Government with another 4 year mandate.

They came to power on the Wings of Lies and FAKE CHANGE Promise. This APC Government and Party has drastically changed the lives of Nigerians for the worse...

The APC must therefore be rejected at all levels of government and not be rewarded with another 4 year mandate in the Aso Rock Villa.

Enough is Enough: APC must Go
