mmars: For the first time in Nigeria's history under her watch, Nigeria had to borrow money to pay Federal workers. People who support her think they have a duty to because she is from their ethnic group. That is the sad and sorry state of Nigeria today. If you have to pick someone from that tribe, how about Chukwuma Soludo, the man responsible for the fantastic banking reform that saved Nigeria's banks from crashing during the global meltdown? 4 Likes |

bigtt76: We are still mostly primitive people especially the educated ones, educated Africans are a disappointment to education. We are a mentally retarded people so we can continue to complain about why other races treat us as inferiors. My state kogi was ruined by governors from my tribe, then yaya bello from another tribe even came and did worse, so tell me how getting development is connected to any particular tribe? Africa is unfortunate 1 Like |

TripleOh7: She was nominated because her chances are brighter than that of Agah. Most countries would want to support someone that is familiar to them. Nobody will want to support a candidate that can’t be fully trusted to protect their interest. Okonjo-Iweala is a product of the western controlled Bretton wood institutions so she can be trusted to protect the interest of America and Europe over countries like China and Russia. What is playing out is simply international politics. |

Maybe... just maybe... Bubu is trying to use NOI to get debt cancellation for Nigeria being that he made mention of it some days back....of course we all remember the role she played during OBJ's govt concerning the Paris debt cancellation. Methinks Bubu is trying to play that card here...cos he never really liked Madam Ngozi from inception...so why nominate her for anything...not minding that he termed her region as (5%ters). Well.... what do I know?! Maybe... just maybe... dre11: In the end, politics, be it local or global, is a game of interest. Some say, in politics, there's no permanent enemies or friends, but only permanent interest (s). Well, I disagree with them, because interests also change. What you find favorable at a particular time may not be a good option at another time. For example, the US wants the AfDB president, Akinwumi Adesina, a Nigerian, out by all means, whereas in the case of WTO, they want a Nigerian in, for their own interests. In conclusion, just as friends and enemies do change, interest also change. |
