Memories.
The most senior and respected person in the family is served with this plate.
During naming ceremonies, pastors and imams use this plates to collect offering and also sugar, salt, kolanut are placed in this plates to bless the newborn.
Important visitors are also served with it when they come visiting.
It's popularly called "abo ajase" in Yoruba land.
How time flies, hmmm!

This PLATE usually comes in a set, all floral and beautiful. Mostly used to serve fathers or give food to visitors in the family.

The TRAY is the best bet for serving food to a whole family at once. You even get more space to put water, spoons and cups.

They are the joy of Christmas and other festive periods but if this tray hits the ground, the sound can be heard as far as 10miles from where it fell.
We still use it in my house wink

We still have them till now,it's like a treasure that has been kept for a Long time.
We even use the tray to dry crayfish and egusi till now.
But back then when we were in the village during Christmas ,the rice were put in the tray for all the children to eat.
