These "criminals" all they do is monitoring Igbo people accounts out of envy and laziness to make their own money. Have they arrested those Hausa-Fulani kids driving Ferrari, Lamborghini in Abuja with no source of income? Igbo businessmen and women are scared of even keeping money in Nigerian banks as EFCC and ICPC are watching their accounts 24/7. Any transfer, even from legitimate business, they will invite you to their office and force you to give them some share from it. Even if you tell them...this is business money for goods; they will still want share. Spits!

Watch as afonjas will start replying me; no other tribe will reply me but afonjas because they are have been trained to support evil meted on Igbos, all to hold Igbos back. Only if you know who Igbo people are.

The hypocrisy in this country is too much. Imagine, they called the full name of the school yet they refused to call the name of the bank. It just shows double standard, no wonder people of high caliber commit the same offence yet they go free

In our country, the Gov't and elites already seem to have made legit hustling look stupid. And we can argue that the so-called developed countries have always provided a safe haven for looted funds and looters from our country, thereby indirectly destroying our country. Until the western countries learn to actively and directly deny our Gov't /public officials/elites ( plus their dependants) and their questionable funds entry into and investment in their countries, then they have no moral justification to talk about the 'IMAGE of NIGERIA' in any negative way.
We saw pics and videos of flagrant display of wealth on Twitter the other day by a certain group of Nigerians; how is it that nobody is worried about the legitimacy of the source of such? What is good for the goose, is good for the gander. If we are sanitizing our society, then there must be no sacred cows in our sanitation drive. The situation in our country and our perceived international image will most likely keep deteriorating until we as a country are able to offer, based on equity and merit, realistic and tangible pathways to decent livelihoods for our teeming young and able-bodied population.
This, to me, is the bigger picture.

In US once u get transfers from suspicious accounts even as small as $5k they wld close your account without notice. There are money laundering and anti terrorism laws that require suspicious transfers to be investigated. This is a world wide standard guys. Nigerians are just too used to fraud so it’s a normalcy that everyone is justifying a boy transferring such huge amount of money to a saving account. $1.2m in a lot of money most people have not smelt in Malaysia or even Saudi and the US. If the money is clean he shld come and defend it.

Which work for abroad wey you fit gather 500million,even if you be bank robber, you know how many banks you go rob?
Hedonisco:
Annoying country. You don't know the source of the money and yet you're rushing to freeze the account, initiate forfeiture processes, and arrest the poor woman. Have you established that the money was proceeds of crime?

So someone abroad cannot send money to his own mother again. Everybody must remain poor. Stupid idiots.

How many rich men in Nigeria did they know the source of their wealth. Is Malaysia complaining of missing money? Definitely the Guy is involved in drug deals, as usual, IN Malaysia and God blessed him not to be caught. Now brought the proceeds of the risk home, some idiots are busy doing nonsense. They should leave the woman alone. If the boy was caught in Malaysia and given the capital punishment, will any one investigate it?

it can not be the son's money. the son's boss maybe. the son is a cover for the boss' illegal money. that will protect the boss as investigators only go after the son. this is how drug dealers work. they use proxies.

Our law enforcement always making a scene as usual.
The restriction on the account was lifted after a court order was presented to do so.It is routine for banks to verify these orders before they act on them.
Why arrest staff of GTB for following a valid order issued by a competent court?

This is what I don't even understand
