CHAPTER THIRTY FIVE

Rowland sped to the address sent to his phone, anger creeping up his face. He constantly murmured as he drove, cursing under his breath. His car finally made it's way into the compound, he killed the engine and got down from the car, walked to the second flat and knocked swiftly on the door, few seconds after, the door opened and he matched in like he wanted to kill someone.


"I never knew you could be this dumb and careless, what were you thinking?" he thundered, as soon as he was in the sitting room.


"Don't blame me. How was i to know that he has a twin brother? a detective at that. I thought i knew everything about him, but him having a twin is just new to me" she rolled her eyes.


"Don't give me that crap. The plan was to make him look dead in the eyes of everyone who knew him and then take him far away" he howled.


"I did take him far away, his brother is just smart, i don't even know how he found me"


"Oh no, you didn't. You took him to Imo State, still an Eastern state that shares a boundary with Anambra state. What happened to the Northern, the Southern and the Western side of the country? i thought you were smart" he hissed.


"No matter where i take him to, his brother was still going to find me, dude is too smart" she eyed him.


"You just spoilt everything, i was already getting positive response from Bari, did you have to Bleep up at this time? damnit, Lina, you are really a dunce" he hit his head in frustration.


"It wasn't my fault, just like you want to be with Bari, i also want to be with Daniel, do not blame me, i never planned for any of this to happen"


"So what are you planning to do?" he raised a brow at her.


"What do you mean by "I" you should be using the word "We" and "Us", you and i are in this together"


"You are on your own. I only supported you and gave you ideas, but you carried out everything and moreover, you were the person they caught and not me" he scoffed.


"I already gave out your name as the accomplice, we are in this together" she chuckled.


"You are insane" Rowland sneered, walking away, to the door.


"Not so fast, "Mr" David muttered, coming out from the room. Rowland turned and looked from him (David) to Lina, then back to David again.


"I see you are free from her wicked clutch, that's good" Rowland hissed.


"This is not Daniel, you dunce. This is David, his twin" Lina explained.


"And you are under arrest, for supporting murder and kidnap" David said, walking towards Rowland, a handcuff in his hand. He got close to him and tried to cuff his wrist, Rowland punched him on the face, pushed him and ran out. David let out a throaty laugh and folded his hands against his chest.


"You are letting him go away" Lina yelled.


"No, he is not getting away" David replied casually "1 2 3" he began to count.


"But he just left. There is no way am getting punished alone, for what we both did" Lina ranted.


"4 5" David continued counting, ignoring the lady's outburst. "6 7 8" he stopped counting and grinned. Just then, Kyle dragged Rowland back into the living room. He (Rowland) looked like a lost puppy drenched in sweat.


"Boss, just like you predicted, he tried escaping" Kyle said, pushing Rowland to David, who was already prepared to cuff his wrist.


"Well done Kyle XY. You will handle the lady, but don't rough handle her, remember, ladies are fragile" David chuckled and took Rowland away, while Kyle followed behind with Lina, whose wrists were cuffed too.
