Just30:
You ask why the property was demolished in the night

The answer to that is, According to the road safety regulation
Long vehicles, earth moving equipment, long trucks and certain equipment cannot be to and from that particular area of Accra unless after 10 pm.

There are also regulation on what time that equipment can be transported on Highways in Ghana.

ivory coast did more than that before to ghana and nigeria. You can not move from one place to another without the" passe ".without being harassed by the police. until they did election and table turned within one week the Street of Abijan was littered with dead bodies. It was still the same ghana and nigeria who went to save them. the way the Ghanaians hate themselves between the Ashanties to Volta to north is too much. Ghana can explode at anytime.

Ghanaians have never love Nigeria and Nigerians
They dislike us and they dont hide it atall.
We are talking about racism against the blacks by the whites.
The racism in Africa continent, is far greater. If you meet a Ghanaian at work , among the whites, the Ghanaian will join the whites to bully you
They are not loving atall, sorry, I'm not been stereotype here, they are hostile in nature.

there is a Kwame Nkrumah Street in Abuja. I guess Nkrumah who died several decades ago, built it
jrtorrents:

Get your facts right ! Obasanjo hasn’t built a mm or road in Ghana. He has a very good relationship with the former Ghanaian president, John Kuffour as a result he named a street after him. There are a few other streets named after Patrice Lumumba, Sankara and other African leaders.

Guy everything you said here is absolutely correct they are evil set of people very wicked
topboss:
THE GOOD PEOPLE OF NIGERIA EXPECT THIS WARRANT CHIEF TO BE ARRESTED AS PARTY TO THE UNLAWFUL DEMOLITION OF PROPERTY BELONGING TO THE NIGERIAN HIGH COMMISSION IN GHANA.

GHANA IS A COUNTRY OF LAW AND ORDER AS THEY SAY, SO UNLAWFUL DEMOLITION OF STRUCTURES WITHOUT ADHERENCE TO DUE ROCESS OR RULE OF LAW SHOULD ATTRACT PENALTY.

XENOPHOBIA IS NOT AN EXCUSE TO COMMIT CRIME.

U CANNOT TAKE THE LAW INTO YOUR HANDS AND USE THE NATIONALITY OF THE OTHER PARTY AS JUSTIFICATION FOR YOUR CRIME.

IF WE ALLOW THIS, TOMORROW THEY WILL KILL A HUMAN BEING AND SAY IT IS NIGERIAN.

GHANIANS ARE CRIMINALLY MINDED PEOPLE, THEY RENT SHOP AND SELL LAND TO NIGERIANS AND THEN GO BACK TO TAKE IT, SAYING THE PEOPLE ARE NIGERIANS, AFTER COLLECTING MONEY.

THEY WILL NEVER REFUND THE MONEY THEY COLLECTED AND INFACT, YOUR GOODS IN THE SHOP WILL BE LOCKED AND THEY EXPECT U TO LEAVE THE COUNTRY.

THIS IS CRIMINAL BEHAVIOUR.

Ironi:

Nigerians are total crooks and conmen even to the diplomatic level. Mumu Nigerians would let a crooked Nigerian hide behind a diplomatic mission to push them into confrontation or even a war.

Mumus who think being a conman and a criminal is normal .

Anywhere you see a Nigerian , you know there could be a possibility of a crime...

Thank you for your contribution... Not worth the effort of response because your bigotry is very loud and can seen even by the blind.

It was the Nigerian High commission who claim that their property was demolished by an individual and the media picked it up from there.

The diplomatic space of Nigeria was not invaded.

The Chief has more power than the government when it comes to land.
Why should he seek government help because they have a land issue with another person, when all Authority regarding lands is in their hand?

The Nigerian High Commission was invited by an entire Paramoncy with the same status as the embassy and they decided not to show up on several occasions despite the fact that it was explained that they were committing an illegality by encroaching on the land.

If you know how lands are administered in Ghana, you will know that no wrong has been committed yet aside from the encroachment.

Have you seen the latest news today and how many Ghanaians have been arrested in relation to this wicked act?

There is no way you can sugar-coat this incident, the Chief and whoever demolished the building have punched above their weight.

yes

and the case will end up in dismissal since none of the charges will hold up in court.

This is a standard procedure, the case will get called and those arrested will make bail.
Anyone who is aggrieved about the property demolition can go and make a case and the commission will be required to show evidence of ownership of the lands since a criminal case has been opened.

The commission will rely on Vienna Convention cover to not take part in Criminal cases.

If and when this escalates to unbearable levels people like you in my view would be accounted to have contributed to heighten tensions between the 2 countries ...

Nothing short of a sincere PUBLIC(not phone call to Buhari) apology by the Govt of Ghana will solve this problem .

If the govt of the day in Nigeria fails to act .. trust me another govt in future will pick this up ...just mark it .

No traditional stool in Ghana is higher than the elected central govt and if there was any land issue it ought to have been resolved govt to govt and not one chest-beating chief ..

I know this is an election year and Nana Akufu Ado is treading with caution but the right thing must be done and quickly..

Buhari and the Ghanaian president have spoken already
Just as diplomacy requires.

IM just stating facts and if those facts will lead to escalation, then so be it.
the facts being known is better than the falsehoods and self delusions going around.

Sorry but no one is going to give a public apology in the Ghanaian Government, we dont operate like that.

Since you dont know this, then let me let you know this.
A traditional stool in Ghana is accorded the same level of respect as an embassy.

Nigeria is free to do what it wants to and im very sure Ghana will respond.

Anyway, this remains a private matter and it will be treated as such.

Your government does not own the land, it was self-imposing itself to steal, Vienna Convention requires the Nigerian High Commission to ask in writting to the Ghanaian government if it requires land for diplomatic purposes. That is the procedure and they didn't follow it
Those are some of the reasons why the case will be thrown out of court because the charges will not hold.

You can't prosecute someone on Unlawful Entry and Causing Unlawful Damage contrary to sections 23(1), 152 and 172(1b) respectively of the Criminal and other Offences Act, 1960 (Act 29) if the person entered his own property.

The chest-beating Chief is the owner in Trust of the land for the GA people that your Embassy is sitting on and when they get angry, they can require it back since the lease on it has expired and hasn't been renewed.

Nana Addo is a lawyer and he has no option than to follow the law or face a ban from Ghana Bar Association.
