(4). AN EXTRACT FROM MY eBOOK titled "WHEN PRAYER FAILS, TRY PRAISE".

(CONTINUED FROM YESTERDAY).

I saw the chairman busy working on the
files before him. I gave him pleasantries, but he ignored me. I repeated my
pleasantries, yet he ignored me. I then summed up courage and told him, I
heard there were vacancies for a job and am here with my credentials to
apply for the job.

Suddenly, he lifted his head and raised his voice in anger as he screamed at
me saying;
“…do you want to implicate me? Didn’t you hear me turn down the
influential man and his younger brother, telling them there was no
more vacancy for job?”

He looked at me and bluntly said, “there is no more vacancy for job and
there is nothing I can do about it”.
As I walked out of his office, I lifted up my eyes to heaven and asked the
Lord what else do I do? Again, I heard the Lord said to me;
“…keep praising and thanking me, you are already employed…”
My claim of hearing from God was being tested. My faith was also being
tested greatly. The instruction to keep praising and thanking God for the
job I was yet to physically receive was being tested too.

When I walked out of the office, I went to stand under the shade of a tree,
and quietly I kept singing songs of praise to the Lord and thanking
Him by faith that I was already employed for the job.
