Una do well jare....Thunder wey go fire power holding companies if any form of tariff increase is rolled out now dey heaven with Sango and Amadioha dey do pressup

That Femi Gbajabiamila is a bleeping hypocrite. So he supports that the hike takes effect in 2021 and has stopped working to ensure that meters are made available to all customers ? He becomes Speaker and suddenly estimated billing ain't an issue anymore?? These people are not of God. In the end, they will get exactly what is coming for them - they and their loved ones

When I heard about the plan to hike tariff in electricity I almost shed tears , I asked myself just one question, does it mean this so called our leaders have no human sympathy or feelings to what the poor Nigerians are passing through.
Erratic bills is already been distributed, yet you still saying you want to increase it the more.
Who did we actually offend in this country .

Wickedness and greed run freely in the veins of those who provide certain services like electricity people, police, politicians and local government workers.

We barely have stable supply of electricity, yet you want to increase your tariff; does that make any sense? Most business owners run on generators; yet you want to reap where you did not sow.

..don't even talk about lack of power. They are trying to impose something very crazy on us. Imagine, if they decide to supply 24hrs power with this tariff, how will you pay?? IThey shl give us meters... prepaid or postpaid. The time those ladder carriers use to visit homes monthly for disconnection could be used to read the postpaid meters.

I will not accept a bill of power supply I never used

NEPA, if una no give us meter, postpaid or prepaid, we no accept any hike in tariff.
Imagine, billing me up to 8k in this Ikorodu village. What do I have in my house? How many hours do you supply power to my house, & how many hours do I spend at home to make use of the power you supplied...& you still want to increase it

Sango faya una there!!!

The day we will start learning to bless others is the day we will start succeeding in this world!

My seeds of sowing into your lifes blessings shall stay for a lifetime,

i do not need your money or your gold to bless you this day!

I do not need your moral support and wishes to bless you this day!

All i feel is the happiness and the urge to just keep on blessing you all,

i have learnt the hidden secrets of praying and blessing others,

even in the face of hard situations,

the blessings you have declared on people shall never lie in your own life,

for its a spoken word that has been sent forth to accomplish success,

and my word shall not come back to me void in the name of jesus!

Some will say i am doing this for the money and rewards attached to it,

but they have simply forgoten that its just a mere physics attribution,

for if you have read in some hidden books on meditation then you will understand that wishing well for others have already in turn be wished well onto you too!

Just forget your worries today and wish well to somebody this very minute!

The more you bless them the more it will work for your own good!

And once your heart is of joy and you keep blessing others,
automatically you are indeed bound for enormouse amount of success,

i have since been blessing people since the day i have known this truth!

I dont really need to have known you before blessing you this day!

I dont really need to have been connected to you before i will declare my blessings upon you this day!

You all shall be blessed as i am typing this,

there are endless blessings we are yet to even know or see about.

The only way we can tap into that is by blessing others,

every human is connected to one infinite,
any part that you have failed or wronged shall come back to hunt you down and thats karma for you!

So try channell that energy in blessing rather than in cursing!

Peace!

In other words, you don't want progress for Nigerians.
It is not the government's business to subsidize electricity.
Subsidies are one of the greatest fraud perpetrated by the Nigerian government
under the guise of helping the poor with freebies.
No serious country subsidizes utility bills for citizens.

The prepaid meter should be supplied to all customers and the government
should stop interfering in electricity pricing.

Let the metering preceeds increment while people are just trying to recover from economic breakdown resulted from poor leadership and pandemic.

When they were billing 62,000 per month to 3 bedroom flats, government said nothing. If there is a human face in the government, give people prepaid meters.

I just like this man Gbaja, always people oriented.
Ask federal government to pay for 2 months electricity bill for Nigerians because of covid 19,nobody supported him,the house under his leadership has told DSTV to reverse their increased subscription fee and now this. How i wish our leaders especially Governors can be this people oriented.

If only they could give us 24 hour electricity,.. Even if the bill is N20,000 a month.. Nigerians will pay...
Pay 20K per month with which money? Fixed billing is a scam. People should pay for only what they use. This is fair to both the customers and the provider. So, the first step to solving electricity issue is for govt to give every house free prepaid meter. Without prepaid meter, they will continue going in circles

There are hidden treasures in Nigeria which many don't know. Business is good in Nigeria if you can spot the right business. Even, lack of electricity is a blessing for some few people. My only problem with Nigeria are the people. When a nation decides to be deliberately backward because of corruption and scams, and one starts losing opportunities outside, it is a big problem. I look at people always waiting for govt to solve their challenges as unserious kinds when there are treasures around them. Everyone wants to stay in Lagos, Abuja, PH and other major cities when there are treasures in "outside cities".

Are you sure that you are a Nigerian? grin
Such intelligence is uncommon here.
Many people don’t ask why most Nigerians are praying and fasting for visas to be voluntary slaves in obodo oyinbo, where governments don’t generally subsidise utilities and consumption.

Please explain to the short myopic people on this forum.

Nigeria-a country where people want the benefits of capitalism with socialist economic policies.

We want light 24-7 yet we don't want to pay. Even the small they are struggling to give us, people still refuse to pay. Yet we want the Gencos and Discos to perform magic

Govt parastals alone are owning these Discos about 100b naira in unpaid bills. Throw in the NPF, Navy and military nto the equation and the amount is over 200billion. My question is how do we expect the Discos and Gencos to invest in critical infrastructure, if we refuse to pay and when cost benefit does not make sense?

As it is they are already lose about 7-10 naira per kilowatt generated from the moribund national grid infrastructure that is still with the govt then add energy theft and refusal our consumers to pay for consumption.

Ya'll think the NASS care about you? NAH, they are just using this to score cheap political points as usual.

You can all continue to mortgage the future of your unborn generation for "free light".

Its rather insensitive of the power companies to increase tariffs at this point in time as earlier mentioned by the VP and the speakers. The COVID-19 is having negative effects on the economy and now and increase in tariff? No! When power supply is well above consistent then people are encouraged to pay for services.

Word!

The problem with Nigeria is that we want free power.

If we had had this attitude towards our GSM companies, by now we would have still been struggling with VSAT tech for internet.
