wirinet: After breezing through the objective explanations above, You still went ahead to expose that you have comprehension problem that is the problem with you guys defending Tinubu Its like a huge part of your brain cant think relatively and apply simple information without you keeping to repeating already answered questions going round the table like a toddler you're. To help you out again He is only telling you process that should be followed to establish money laundering and you on the other hand felt insulted and feel it's unnecessary Now comes to Establishing the content of the bullion vans Magu is said to have set up committee on the matter but refused to act on its findings So, he has to go so that a fearless person expose the content and recomends the next line of action If you agree that Tinubu deserves not to be investigated Then you're in the league of those clamouring that Abass Hushpupi is a saint and should be let go. |

emkz:So you think if the EFCC wants to investigate the event they won't get to the root of it? You think through investigation, the EFCC cannot know the amount of money in the bullion van and the bank that owns it? Tinubu should thank his stars that we are in a govt that habours corrupt members of its party, if not, he will be in hot soup. The case is not a difficult case to prove at all. |

BERNIMOORE: Investigated for what exactly. If you say Tinubu should be investigated for the way he spent Lagos State money while still governor, I agree with you wholeheartedly. If you insist Tinubu should be investigated for defrauding Lagos State with any of his companies, I concur. But to investigate him because his bank decides to deliver cash to his home using bullion vans is preposterous. Even if the Bullion vans were used for illegal activities, the bank involved will be more liable than Tinubu. The money laundering act never barred banks from giving their customers N80 billion naira in cash. What it specified are individual transactions. All individual transactions over certain limits must be done through the banks or a financial institution . A financial institution supplied the cash and he has not been proven to give any individual more than N5 million in cash. 1 Like |

edoboy74: While I was working in Kogi State building foundation for MTN mast, there was a dispute on the land. A plain-clothed policeman came and requested me to follow him to the station. I was sub-contracted for the job, so what was my business with how the land was acquired? I asked him to show me his warrant. He was shocked and paused. He explained to me that there was a dispute in the land, and I explained to him that I was only a subcontractor and if they should want someone at their station, I was the wrong person. He insisted I come with me as I was the one present on site. I asked him to go and call his DPO. The policeman left. Why did I say this, many of you don't know your rights. A policeman has no right to ask you to open your bag or show the contents of your phone or laptop. Neither does he have any right to ask you to open your booth. You are allowed to ask him what he is looking for and by his training, he must tell you why you must open it. We need to make Civics a compulsory course at all levels. Like WikiGuru argued above, people must be held accountable. You cannot enforce your rights if you don't know them. Hold your policeman accountable. You are afraid and they capitalize on your fear. Please disregard everything I typed above if you are with a mad and drunk policeman. But I can tell you that when you open eye for a policeman, he go fear because he fit no know who you be. Let us also encourage responsible people to enlist into the police force. I wanted to join the investigation department of the police force once upon a time... 2 Likes |

WikiGuru: The issue is that we are not taught Civics in school and people are not abreast of their rights and duties as citizens and expectations from their leaders. An even bigger challenge is that our institutions are systemically weak, otherwise, did any citizen need to petition the EFCC to commission an investigation? My grouse is that citizens are shouting that Tinubu should be investigated. And my question is for what crime? But we agree on one thing: it is not criminal for bullion vans to drive into someone's house or for him to engage in high volume transactions. The crux of our deviation is the content of the vans and whether they were criminally acquired and the role of the citizen in reporting a crime. Should you report a crime based on speculation or your feeling that a crime has been committed? You must witness the crime. This is my argument. |

emkz: A lot of people have stand their ground trying to claim their right but guess what, a lot of them get humiliated, bullied, beaten, forced and rubbished to the station. I have seen several cases where people stand their ground but got humiliated even if the policemen where not mad or drunk, sometimes some policemen are trigger happy and fast one might get killed. All those “your right & my right thing” doesn’t really work for 80% Nigerians. Until the system is revisited and reform the poor will always be humiliated |

You think those bullion vans money came from thin air? By the time EFCC quizzes the bank managers upto director level, the exact amount and documentation will come out. Tinubu should for 2023, he made a mistake with that bullion van saga due to overconfidence. Everybody slips up eventually emkz: |
Re: How Petitions On Tinubu’s Bullion Vans Landed Magu In Trouble by Nobody: 7:15am On Jul 11, 2020 |
I saw someone up there say these points: Did u see the contents of the vans? Do you know how much were in the vans assuming it was money? Is there a law against banks transporting 5million in bullion vans? But the b.a.s.t.a.r.d.s and fools that are always singing with that issue (especially the ones on nairaland) their brains didn't tell them those things. They think Tinubu and his staff are fools. That 3rd point up there, that's the main thing - that's why the bank transported the money themselves - and in bullion vans, they were visibly and highly conscious of anti-money laundering laws, otherwise, most politicians go to banks (or send their aides) even with plenty armed police escorts, to carry cash and that's the one that's an offense - carrying physical cash that's above a certain sum (especially up to N1m and above for an individual), that's why you see Atiku using dollars because you carry less amount of cash - N36m is just $100k. And if you say what was the money meant for, he used it for mobilization of his party agents and party faithfuls for the election - for their monitoring work/party agent work. That's exactly what it was and all big party leaders do that - ALL OF THEM!! Anyway, if I was Tinubu, I will put the exact explanation in writing and send it to EFCC + even go to their office myself to do so. Simple. |

ArchAngelos999:This is the exact situation. Tinubu is the only person in APC in the whole south that can stand up to them and contest against them, all the others are fools, ass lickers and errand boys that will feel honoured with vice presidency to northerner, so they have to look for every way to remove Tinubu from the way. |
