At EMU students don’t pay for quarantine room—it is FREE. In general, when you reserve your room you will be sent to your room to get quarantine since is your room that your have reserved or paid so nothing like paying.

Also, EMU already have some special dormitories for students to take care of such.

If your are coming to EMU, ensure you fill the pre-arrival form online, have your dormitory sorted and EMU representatives will collect you from airport and also follow up

Thank you very much

Reserving the flight is different from booking it.
I would advise you should reserve when you reach voyavisa.

Hello please do you mean we can travel before resumption?

That’s how CIU is anyway. They have a phone number you can search to contact them also. Another faster way is to get in touch with the rector of the university.

First try to call them if you can’t still reach them through out this week. Email me I will send you the direct contact of the heads of the university there.
Hello sir I’m new here please I want to know if I have to travel before resumption date and I want to know I can also get job over there to help myself too not only my sponsor doing everything.

In general, students should arrive prior to the start of class so that they can finish their housing and immigration paperwork without interfering with their studies. However, students arrived slightly late due to a variety of factors, despite the fact that the semester's deadline was set by each university's schedule.

So, to assist you in planning, I recommend you to consult your school's academic calendar, which can be found on the university website, to determine when classes will begin and the deadline for course registration.

Jobs are relatively scarce as Cyprus is an island with a sizeable economy dominated by education and other allied services, which has been exacerbated by the Covid lockdown, which has impacted a number of enterprises. Although some businesses have begun to recover, it should be noted that, as in nearly all countries where English is not the first language, finding work in Northern Cyprus may be hampered by the language barrier, wages for survival, and unregulated working conditions. Some students find jobs easily, while others struggle. If you are coming for undergraduate education, make sure you have at least two years of tuition and living expenses covered before you arrive.

Best wishes!

Having studied in different countries and traveled extensively, I can assure you that if you do not have a full scholarship, working to pay tuition and living expenses will be extremely difficult, and the situation maybe even more difficult for those in non-English speaking countries such as Cyprus. Recently, I taught a sessional course at one of Canada's institutions, and one of the students in my class was a Brazilian who had to return to her homeland because she couldn't manage the financial situation and the backbreaking work required to survive. I have seen countless students from various countries as well in Cyprus that have stranded and left university for years because they can’t afford the tuition and those with jobs hardly can even pay the fees.

If you don't have enough money to pay for a full year of tuition and housing, you can continue your studies in your home country for the time being. However, if you insist on traveling in order to support yourself through work, you may be lucky or unlucky depending on the situation.

However, be prepared and optimistic; regardless of your plans, do not do anything that would ruin your name or that of your country. You might also consider learning some digital skills that will allow you to be self-sufficient without having to do a lot of time-consuming and strenuous work.

Hint: One of my students (a 23-year-old Palestinian lady in her second year of engineering in Cyprus) is a professional blockchain developer and junior machine learning scientist who self-taught herself. She is a practical expert with a long list of projects under her belt; she recently signed a two-year contract to work remotely for an Australian company building solutions, earning a solid wage without ever leaving her room. First, this is a plus for her since, unlike people who engage in fraudulent activities online, landing a job after graduation will be a piece of cake for her given her present recommendations and projects she has successfully accomplished.

Best wishes!

Mr Wip, concerning the home quarantine in EMU, I heard from a friend who just landed yesterday that the 640$ is still compulsory and that home quarantine was not allowed for students from Nigeria, they lodged them in an hotel.
He said they had to have paid the 640$ before even boarding and showing the proof of payment at the airport.
Please can you verify this

I can only verify 100% that EMU students with accommodation approval (proof of accommodation issued by the university) paid just 750 TL also from Africa. As I write this, a master student who happened to be a graduate of Laughtech from your country arrived on Wednesday and was collected from Airport by an EMU assistant, paid 750 TL, and is currently quarantined in her paid accommodation.

Are you coming to EMU?
EMU has circulated the message to all incoming students and agents..... also if you are coming to EMU, send me your acceptance letter, accommodation details, and flight details at least 3 days before, I will be speaking with the vice-rector particular on this.

If your university is not EMU, then I encourage you to consult your university regarding this.

Hello Mr Wip7,
I just contacted my agent to book for OTB(ok to board) as I have been given admission in Cyprus international university and now he’s saying I have to pay $640 for 2 weeks quarantine.
Right now I don’t even know what else to do.
Could this be true?
Please I really need your expertise here

Yes you need to download the app and register.

You can select any country phone number to receive the registration code and register that number.

Attached here are the information you will fill. Also, from the phone you can choose your country. See that GSM just press it brings all countries.
