I don't think this is a good move... well maybe he knows what he's doing. I hope it's not because of low returns sha. Xpol is here again

wrong move
Re: Police Shut Down IRT, STS State Offices In Nigeria by pacino26(m): 9:30pm On Jul 12, 2020
Kyari don't want his brain child to be messed up. The satellite bases were to act on Intelligence and execute swiftly, but as usual the operatives are becoming laws unto themselves. So IRT dissolving the Satellite bases is a welcome move. Let Kyari decide who is good for the unit or not. Let there be sanity for once.

I expected it anyways.

The disbanded officers were ordered to submit all firearms in their possession to central armoury

Fulani jihadist are disarming the zoo security centers in order to start ejecting their terrorist boys in as replacement.

But what if Nigerian police officers have started running away from the dying for the zoo/Niggarea?

However, there are fears that the directive could afford bandits and other criminal gangs the leeway to unleash terror on defenceless citizens.

Whoever wrote this nonsense must be mad. Both the IRT and the so-called SARS, how many bandits and "criminal gangs' have they confronted of late? These useless bastards now devote all their energies on pursuing real and imagined yahoo boys and petty fraudsters, rather than face the real task of fighting violent crime. As we speak, most highways in Nigeria have been taken over by murderous Fulani kidnappers. Where is IRT and SARS to combat these real threats? You wouldn't find them there. They are busy looking for easy and lazy money by chasing after soft target 'yahoo boys' in street corners. Even though their mandate is clearly to fight ONLY robbery and kidnapping.

Idiots.

Evans prosecution has nothing to do with the IRT sir . There IRT has over 300 cases with evidences and the criminals are yet to be convicted. Is IRT the judge that will sentence them? IRT arrests and charge criminals to court the onus rest with the court to do the needf. I was in a Security meeting with DCP Abba Kyari just last year and we discussed the challenges faced by the IRT Chief among them is the judiciary. Pls let’s be sure of what we talk online without having first hand info.

And has Evans been prosecuted?

Mumu.

The reason for the disbandment isn't stated..... well, this is security agency.... so I don't expect them to disclose that. Those ones will rest small at least.

Oga Evans would be like, " can I go now" grin

This is commendable.
The nonsense IRT do is too much.
Government gave them devices for tracking, yet they will bill you so hugely for tracking that you would rather allow the offender to move on. Their bail is something else. Basically, all they do there is get intelligent reports, act on it and collect money to free the people. All of them fresh eh, they eat morethan even CP wey dey over see their affairs. Rubish

Disbanding a special squad in this period that crime rate is high is worrisome..what's the reason for disbanding them?
Are they no longer intelligent and tactical again?

Having all this special department make no sense to me because is a room for thieves in uniform to Robb and commit crimes against innocent citizens. I have been robbed by SARS in Delta State and uncountable other people that goes through same ordeal on our roads. Is unfortunate that same people that are meant to protect us are the ones robbing us.

Isn't it obvious that they have become and even worse of who they were supposed to arrest?! Theirs were more deadly not to hardcore arm robbers but to those people who were perceived to have money or labeled fraudsters after all they had guns, no name tag, hidden offices, zero supervision of activities and one aim is to generate income at all cost to themselves and meet the target of the oga up top. Go to the highways, especially those commerce transport, those roadblock is mainly for #100 collection, zero checking. There are robbers still operating the same highway without fear. Even the disbandment is for a reason, they will soon recreate them with different name but same mode of operation and same people.

Oga IRT are the most effective unit in the Nigerian Police. I saw a documentary about them on BBC...all these kidnapping they normally resolve them

BBC? No wonder you don't reside in Nigeria, you re relying on information from people who don't reside her either, be a real fact finder come here ask people at the grassroots how these outfits behave, ask the victims, don't sit on your couch and post trash based on misinformed source.

you can't argue logically. Why are you deflecting, why not stick to what we were talking about...who says the police don't do wrong...you asked why Evans hasn't been prosecuted by the police and you were told the police did its job and its left for the legal system to complete it....so why deflecting to another issue
