This initiative was the brain child of a private organisation and they partnered with the Government and Landmark to set up the centre. Their goal was to help the government in the early stage of the crisis while the government expands its own facilities. It was a temporary and emergency arrangement which has come to an end. Any patients that are still there will be transfered to other facilities across the state. justified007: Ayor93: donbachi: Bluntemperor: |

backnbeta: No, the LASG is simply changing their strategy. Instead of having everybody come to the isolation center for treatment, they're doing community-based treatment and will only move moderate to severe cases to the isolation centers. There's currently no shortage of facilities in the state's isolation centers. |

I can't read. You tell me. All that gibberish made no sense and they did not specify the "why", that is if you know what a why is. You can start by reading Simon Sinek"s "Start with why" , then you would know they only said the what and not the why. oluwaseyi0: 2 Likes |

StagethemTVee: They specified the why sir, Highlighted below again: The centre was handed over to the Lagos State Government to be integrated into the statewide response to contain the COVID-19 pandemic. However, on July 31, the centre will end its operations in line with the agreement signed with the Lagos State Government. Can you see there was a short term agreement between the private sector and the LASG? The agreement was to last a specified month |

That is exactly the why i need an answer to. Why are they shutting down operations when covid infections are suppossedly on the rise? If it was crude oil agreement, they would know how to extend and keep the dollars rolling in. Ajibel: 1 Like |

StagethemTVee: Initially when all these started, LASG didnt have the capacity to manage the rising cases because the required facilities weren't available. So this private body came together to temporarily establish this isolation center with the support of the government for a specified time. Now that the capacity of LASG has been improved upon and the management of cases by LASG has also been changed in preference of treating mild cases in the community and medium to severe cases in isolation centers, there was no need to continue again given that they already have a timeframe for this temporarily setup center to last. If the government was still not capable of managing things themselves, they would have met with this private body and make necessary arrangement for the extension of this temporary isolation center. LASG has also realised that the virus will be with us for quite a while, so they're also making changes to their policies to reflect the new normal and that could involve closing more temporary isolation centers as time goes by 1 Like 2 Shares |
