from the beginning of this reintegration scheme by Bihari administration, I think this a very foolish and misguided step by this imbecilic government. I am very sure of one thing : very soon people of Bornu will surely revolt again this kind of government aided brazen oppression. peter tosh once said: we want peace in the society but how can there be peace if there is no Justice. 1 Like |

Better. How can you say a terrorist has repented Same repented ass holes gathered together and formed bandit yet Buhari is sitting comfortable in Aso Rock even going to Mali to mediate peace process. How I wish the Mali people could tell him to go back to his country and sort things out before coming to their country. How can a die hard islamic terrorist claimed repentant If not madness where in this world has anyone seen terrorist being given VIP treatment and called them repentant 1 Like |

Send all of them to the SW. Tinibu will sponsor their reintegration proper so as to get Boko support ahead of 2023. 5 Likes 1 Share |

This is very simple, let them accommodate them in Aso Villa, Borno government house and have some of Buhari supporters especially Yoruba Moslems and headslammers to also accommodate them in their various homes. 1 Like |

This is what you get when we have a government that's unresponsive and incompetent. In fact downright irresponsible. The Army is not exempt either. In countries where leaders have brains, these terrorists will face justice and executed for their crimes. Or at least sent to jail because they surrendered. Even the worst terrorists can be "repentant" when they are captured in battle and they see no way out. This is just a huge mess and ultimately Mr President is responsible. Who's idea was this? They need to be investigated for possible links with Boko Haram. How can there be a country of victims of terrorism can't get justice? See ehn Nigeria is a lost cause. And the sooner we all realise this, the better for us all 1 Like |

Imagine after they kill and behead people, they will be rewarded by giving them scholarship and recruiting them into the army. This is the reason so many said that this government is Boko Haram sponsor. God, where are you? Deliver us from this wicked and unreasonable people. 1 Like |

The best way of reintegrating them back into the society for me is to retrain them (against the bokoharamic/bokocentric mentality) for combat and send them back to face their former allies. Shikena!!! Any other process is a slap on the faces of our gallant troops. 1 Like |

Re: Borno Residents Reject Repentant Boko Haram Members by Rilwayne001: 10:33am On Jul 25, 2020 |
There's no repentance in the book or these 'repentant Boko haram'. It's not so easy to kill the evil indoctrination that their mallams used in luring them into boko haram in the first place. Believing they'll change their ways is a foolish thing. And even if they are changing their ways, releasing them without making them facing the consequences of thousands of innocent people they've killed since 2010 is a big slap on the face of the victims family, the people of this country and the whole of humanity. This current government of Nigeria is the most ridiculously foolish government I've ever seen. 2 Likes 1 Share

Leboska: you said it all - the gravity of Buhari's maladministration will be exposed when he leaves office on May 29. 2023 When China will start dictating when we should sleep with our wives, what to we eat and when to we sleep - it is then we will realize Buhari sold off this nation while our youths were busy watching BBNaija - |

Tough questions... hard answers. This thing needs lots of thought and debate. Goverment should be holding lots of townhalls. While some frown at this for obvious reasons I will tell us all this wisdom.... Not only are the citizens watching this with keen interest, insurgents will as well, those who will have been fed with deep propaganda that it was all a one way street and terminal making for desperation in a fatalistic manner. Perhaps (and a big one at that) if they perceived they had a second chance at life they would think a lot more about their actions and even consider changing their lives. For when an animal is cornered it will fight. When a crack appears it will most likely flee.... I don't know. However one thing I am certain about is that the leaders of these organisations will hold them together with not only the carrot but a very big stick of falsehood, intimidation and foreclosure. I will not be surprised if hundreds have been executed for attempts to desert. It will not be wise not to have a channel, a door of light open to them. BUT whom am I to suggest to those in unimaginable pain and loss. That is why it is only goverment that can do this and through townhalls and meetings with communities and families in total empathy, love and kindness. There will be some who will have sons and daughters who like the prodigal son have been lost but now are found. Enough of hate and violence...let peace reign and love shine through.... but whom am I. |

This is an issue the government will have to solve. These are not militants fighting for their people or abuse of their lands, these are criminals killing indiscriminately. It’s very different. |
