If it is a translation, how will it be written by the British? It's like saying that the Yorubas write the Bible because there is a Yoruba translation of the bible. The simple answer is that it was written in another language; Hebrew for most of the Old testament and Greek for the New testament. There are 10s of thousands of manuscripts in Greek for the New Testament which of course predates the English Language and the discovery of Dead Sea Scroll (DSS) which was dated to the time of Christ have majority of the Old Testament in the Original Hebrew.
