COVID-19 Has Brought Some Good Fortunes — Bishop Okere by IzunnaOkafor(m): 8:36pm On Aug 08, 2020 |
By Emeka Odogwu and Izunna Okafor The Anglican Bishop of Isikwato Diocese, Umunnochi, Abia state, Right Reverend Manasses Okere says that despite the challenges COVID-19 came with, it brought fortunes to the citizenry, including re-uniting many families in prayers. Bishop Okere stated this at the All Saints Church, Amaenyi, Awka South Local Government Area of Anambra State, while ministering as the Guest Preacher at the 12th Synod of the Anglican Diocese of Awka, Anambra State, themed, "God of Eternal Destiny and His Major Attributes". Describing COVID-19 as a blessing in disguise, Bishop Okere said the pandemic, though with its attended calamities, was a blessing to families. His words: “God is aware COVID-19 will come the time it came. Nothing happens to God by surprise. He’s in charge of his creatures. All things worketh together, whether good or bad for the good of God’s children. “COVID-19 has brought good fortunes, though has caused havoc. It has re-united families. People sat down with their families to pray. “People have turned to God knowing that science has failed. It’s not God that brought it, but He’s aware that it’s coming, and will work out His purpose through it. “COVID-19 has also exposed the weakness of our health sectors, exposed us globally. We thank God for the efforts so far, though with a mixture of politics. We continue to look unto God.” He thanked the Archbishop, Province on the Niger and Bishop of Anglican Diocese of Awka, Most Reverend Alexander Chibuzor Ibezim, PhD, and his wife, Mrs Martha Chioma Ibezim for their steadfastness in the service of the Lord. Earlier, Archbishop Ibezim who is also the host Bishop of the synod prayed that Christians won't be found wanting at the end of the Christian race in heaven, most especially the Church leaders. He further commended the family of Dr Okey Anuenyiagu for the building the primary school block, particularly his late father who led others to champion Anglicanism in Amudo Village Awka and Awka Diocese in general. Among the highlight of the event were provision of free facemasks by the President of Mothers' Union , women's and Girls' Guild to the synod delegates and guests; dedication of three storey building for the primary school in the premises of the Church, built by Dr Okey Anuenyiagu, as well as symbolic planting of economic cum synod trees by Archbishop Ibezim. About 10 Bishops atteded the synod service conducted by Ven. Clement Mgbemena, Archdeacon, Awka Archdeaconry.

There are no MOGs in the Kingdom of Heaven. These men who have set themselves up in positions of authority over God's flock are in direct disobedience of the commandments of Jesus Christ. Ignoring Jesus other commandment, they set themselves up as Teachers over His flock, essentially making themselves gods over His own. They do not belong to Jesus Christ as you cannot live in direct disobedience and belong to God. It is not done! |

IzunnaOkafor:The bolded is my best part... same thing I've been saying here for a while now. It's really sad because that doesn't have to happen before men realize the truth...but men would be men. |

Peter, the apostle, warned people about ALL MOGs (False Prophets and Teachers), from about 2000 years ago. What peter said is indeed what we see happening here and now. Because of the AntiChrists also called MOGs, the world does not view Jesus Christ in a good light at all. You simply mention that you believe in the God of the Bible, and almost immediately you see the detest in their looks... nothing to do with persecution at all. No, they have become wary of those who claim to be Christians. The world is tired of the lies and deceit of MOGs - the hypocrisy that is claimed and justified in the name of God. These MOGs are the Antichrists as they have set themselves up as Masters over Jesus Christ's flock, pretending to be Teachers in His place. Their doctrines and traditions are twisted representations of the teachings of Jesus Christ, and in many cases many are deceived and led away from the Truth of Jesus Christ as a result. They sit themselves in the place of God in the minds of His own sheep and they steal, kill and destroy, for their own pleasure and kingdoms, that which God has planned for those who are His. And they do all of this in the name of God. MOGs are the false prophets that Jesus Christ warned His followers to beware of. These are the antichrists that the apostles spoke of even during their days.
