GBAM..........

LAWMA with their exorbitant charges. They now charge 3000 naira per waste bin per household monthly. My house has 3 waste bins so they bring a bill of 9000 naira monthly.

It should be free.

They poses as cart pushers to steal and rob

Some empty refuses into drainages and road side late at night

oga, d bolded na lie joh. D reason dey are arresting dem is cuz dey r the main competition to d waste collection business. Govt wanna force everybody to b using Lawma truck to dispose waste. Dey bring bill that pipu shul pay monthly an nobody shul use aboki cart pusher again. But d problem is aboki pipu dey cum every morning to pick up thrash, so dey are more reliable. Lawma trucks come like once a week, some areas sef even longer dan dat. Before Lawma truck or their agents trucks go cum, dirty don full everywer for street. Pipu will turn d front of ur shop, car or house etc to dustbin. anywer dey c chance dey pour it, especially at night. Cuz Lawma no dey cum around steady. But aboki pipu always cum daily. 7am dey don dey work, pay as u go service. So most neighborhood (except wealthy areas), prefer aboki cart than waiting for one useless truck that will come around wen pipu have gone to work and ur thrash wee b piling up like a mountain. As long as aboki still working, nobody wanna patronize Lawma trucks, their patronage will be low and they can't make d money dey want to make. Daz why dey are using political power to kill their main competition. Many aboki are enlightened now, dey don't drop waste by d canal like before, dey drop it by Lawma thrash collection depot in d area or drop it in abandoned bushy places. Most waste u see inside d canal no be aboki truck pusher, na pipu wey dey d surrounding area dey drop der waste there, an this is common in areas where aboki cart pushers are scarce or don't operate, areas under Lawma trucks. Cuz as d trash don pile up and d trucks no dey cum steady, pipu juz go an dump it in neutral location like canal, cuz when dey drop it in front of pipu shops or house or cars or street, dem dey swear for dem, an for some areas if dem catch u doin it, walai u go do sanitization dah day ehn, u go enta gutter, sweep road u go tire grin

Cart pushing is beneficial to the society.

Here are some ways they benefit us:
1. The boys can access stress that the trucks of LAWMA cannot access
2. This is a form of hustling that can prevent boys from becoming thieves or kidnappers
3. Removal of waste is everyone's business. We should not discourage others.

Instead of arresting the boys,
1. They should be registered into a union
2. We should educate them to know how to make their jobs more sustainable
3. A place where lost (but valuable) items can be kept should be provided so that the boys can earn rewards when they return such items.

They have the passion, skill, and competence to remove trash from our society. Employ them, do not arrest them

Please we have to look into this.

Thanks

Kikikiki, yes oooohhhhh, na cuz of d revenue drop dem dey arrest dem. Those Lawma trucks are so useless ehn. Dey will b coming once a week or once in several weeks, and dey wee cum at stupid hours as if pipu don't go to work, as if pipu dee dey inside house 24/7. Dat tin still cuz fight for my side wen d landlord say him wan collect Lawma bill, say dey don cum meet am say every house for street muz pay Lawma bill monthly, say we tenants go share d moni. Na so we para for am say on top wetin, say na aboki everybody dey pay dispose thrash, nobody gat time to b watching street like a spy dey try ur luck weda one useless truck go show. D landlord cum talk say na d law wey dem give am, say we use truck we no use we must pay for d service. Na d mata we still dey settle grin. God bless aboki truck joh, na dem be d original clean up NIGERIA Lagos. If not for dem, most Lagos streets for be like d govt dump yard for Ojota grin Lawma trucks are just too inefficient

The overall objective should be to keep the environment clean. Can LAWMA alone achieve this objective?

The individual cart pushers are actually complementing the activities of LAWMA and should not be treated as competition. If LAWMA were doing their jobs effectively the boys will be out of job.

LAWMA should ‘calm down’.

Placing a call to shekau ....

Lagos state is becoming unbearable for the down trodden...if you don't have your personal vehicle in Lagos your case is sorry...transporters are out for the kill.

If there's anything the Lagos state government should clampdown on seriously is the archaic, uncivilized and barbaric open defecation going in the state

Infact currently as It Is, Generally Lagos state Is the most filthiest place on earth, Too crowdy, almost everyone Is looking haggard, You look at some supposed workers or traders, You will Wonder If these are human beings, extreme dirty black feets, burnt faces, filthy clothes, thick dust and sands which could blind your eyes if care Is not taken, beggers and homeless destitutes everywhere, foul and stinky odour everywhere smhh You can't find a single clear drainage water In Lagos, Everywhere, Lekki and Its likes are black and stinky.......Infact I hate Lagos.....

LMAO, even if they read it one million times, they won't do anything about it, in short dem fit block d guy comment on their page for it. They don't like this kind of intelligence. Those aboki carts pushers have incredible passion and are extremely passionate about collecting refuse. They are super efficient at their work. And they know if they allow them to continue, dey will send Lawma business back to village, like Lawma send Cleaner Nigeria back to village grin Those guys are prompt. U can bet on it that between so so time, they will show, so u can plan and arrange ur thrash on ground for dem to pick up. U can even make a permanent arrangement and tell him to come at pick ur dirt and pay, u can negotiate their fees based on d amount of thrash ur disposing. Unlike govt Lawma dat is fixed and non negotiable. At d end of d day, dos guys are cheaper and even if higher, d diff is not much, but dey are super effective, always available. And they help out sometimes, deh will pack d thrash by demselves, just show dem d thrash, dey will go there an pack it themselves and u pay. But dos useless Lawma trucks will be doing drive by on d street as if they are doin drive by political rally. Na pipu go dey chase dem to throw garbage inside, in d process, s9me garbage will pour on d road and litter d street. Dirty will scatter everywhere. Cuz d trucks are big and dey don't always c parking space to park wen dey come around, and dey can't always park in d middle of d road cuz dey block traffic and pipu driving cars wee para for dem for blocking d flow of traffic. So many times, na drive by pick up dem dey do. So their system is fundamentally flawed. But Aboki pipu are 1000 times more efficient to pack out the thrash. so most pipu prefer dat. Lawma dey vex cum dey use govt power arrest aboki cuz aboki dry chop d moni dey wan chop. Dem no wan go village grin
