I am freaking out about this, My boss asked me out on a date which I think is innapropriate but I love my job and i was looking for a loooong time before i found it so I will be damned if i give up.

I was very kind and told him there is zero interest here so i wouldnt want to waste his time. He told me I should quit the job or accept him and he will increase my salary.

I told him to give me a week to think about it.

What should I do?

Is he the owner of the business?

If you can get evidence of the threat to sack you for refusing his proposal, I think there are agencies you can report to.

With this, you can get a leverage, and be able to keep the job without dating him.

There's also 50% chance you will lose the job, and nothing will happen to him because of our messed up system.



Also, Men who mix business with pleasure always learn the hard way, while their teachers always benefit greatly.

You can be the one to teach him that important lesson. grin

Points to consider in your decision:

1. How long your job search was before getting the job
2. Do you enjoy your job and feel fulfilled in it
3. The type of person your boss is - is he one that never takes no for an answer or one that is considerate and can see reason with you
4. Is it a one man business and he is the owner? If not you can always complain to HR if the company has an HR department
5. Is your boss married? If he is then this is a NO NO
6. Is your boss unmarried?
7. Is your boss good looking and do you find him attractive?
8. Does your boss have an history of dating his employees? (you can ask questions to find out about this)
9. Are you ready for a fling (office romance)?

You see how I laid out these points. You need to think deep and make your decision. We cannot make this decision for you.
