If Yoruba never sent ghana folks away in 1970s ...this madness would not be here...in their pettiness they did that

Let's be frank ! Yoruba introduced xenophobia and tribalism in Africa with these actions

Problem with you Nigerians is you hype yourselves wayy too much.

If a man does not pat himself on the back first, who will. This is a non issue. Why would this annoy anyone who doesn't already have an inferiority complex.

IronGalaxy:

How are you most threatening? Or visible for that matter? East African migrants like the Somali are also visible I could argue. The only thing that I could say makes you people visible is your penchant love of attention, loudness, showoff nature etc not entrepreneurship, the other African nationalities you mention are quiter and in nature.

Hence the use of the world "visible". Again if this annoys you simple don't hang around Nigerians or turn the other cheek. How does this take money from your pocket. You see yourself!

Actually I'm not one of those that fill Nairaland with Tribal and religious sentiments......The other day someone made a post about Power ( light ) situation in Nigeria and some peps complainied about poor power situation in the east, one fellow made it a point of duty to troll every comment coming from that end including mine.....BUT THEN i won't respond to such.......

The truth is with Nigeria, it starts WITH OUR LEADERS, once someone comes in and do it differently and another fellow comes after and sustains it, things will take SHAPE.

1. You mean LOUD. Anyway, if you've never been to the Joburg CBD you will not be bothered by Nigerians.

The point here is that the Joburg CBD is the central business district where hustle and bustle takes place.

TMKsouth:

If u've ever witnessed the chaos and grime that comes with Nigerians in those areas you will know why they stand out. But then again, as a Nigerian I don't expect you to be bothered by grime, litter, noise pollution and incessant drug marketing and cat calling.

Your CBD in the 80's and 90's was a den for run away ladies who came to the cities to prostitute themselves to Foreigners, I don;t see you complaining about all the mixed race kids and fatherless children that were born from the unholy consumation.
TMKsouth:

You and I also know that it is entrenched in your culture to be boastful and to show off. So u call the negative attention to yourselves even when you are poor.
So you prefer people who are cowardice and timid, humble and meek. If you are looking for those I employ you to visit the synagogue or churches ne!

TMKsouth:

2. I guess if love-vendor.ing, dealing in drugs and stolen cellphones and laptops and running dodgy beer halls is your idea of entrepreneurship then it would make sense why u are not offended. Why be a restaurant waiter when u can be pushing drugs and other illicit products for much more money?!

The percentage of this illicit activity of Nigerians is not up to 10% of the entire population of Nigerians in South Africa. if you want me to do the numbers for you I will be very happy to.

TMKsouth:

You should ask yourself why so many of you die at the hands of police in SA - far more than any other foreign nationality in the country. SHADY UNDERWORLD DEALINGS.

This is the same phenomena that happens to African Americans in the US, so many of them die at the hands of police because the buffons use a sterotype to label an entire set of people. Please don't ask me to justify stupidity.

We Nigerian's are in so much denial its appalling, we are the giant of this, we are better than other African countries, but yet we can't even come together to demand a better life from our government yet we complain that our host nations are not being fair to us. Now in Nigeria you can't even complain because once you do, they will tax you 5million naira and call it hate speech. If you talk about fraud the biggest online fraudsters are the Russians, Americans,Chinese, Italians, Indians,Vietnamese and Lebanese. But the problem with Nigerian's is that they flaunt their ill gotten wealth in the public domain showing you how they are wasting the money they stole from you. They go back online to show the cars, jewelry, houses and they even spend thousands of dollars on alcohol daily and are still dumb enough to show their faces on instagram and facebook. Nigerian's are not the biggest scammers, but they are the most known because they flaunt it and embrace it. If we do not wake up Nigeria will reach a level that even Benin Republic will start asking us not to come again. Olusegun Obasanjo should live long to see the disaster he has caused Nigerian's as a whole, them tinubu got President Buhari the Apc ticket, but it was obj who gave him the presidency just to spite jonathan. Both the North and South are now suffering from poor leadership because our leader is more online than in reality. In less than how many years we are now a giant that all the dwarfs are bullying, when GEJ was president people would draw cartoons making fun of patience and goodluck, people would make songs and crack jokes about the president and nothing would happen. different rallies would be held in which people would come out to condemn his government but nobody's head was shaven with broken bottles. People even named their drink, cat, dog even shoe good luck jonathan and yet nothing happened.Unlike today you dare not try half of the things done during GEJ's tenure. A man in sango ota was arrested for calling his goat buhari, If you come out to say anything anti government you are quickly arrested, are we now operating a socialist system. I want to thank Goodluck Jonathan for the tolerance and restraint he showed whenever we as Nigerians abused him, mocked him, mocked his family and even condemned his government. Thank you for protecting free speech and the right to assemble.

PS, a simple look at your townships and the amount of rapes that go on there will bring your SABC down to that third world level in a second.

If u were real smart u'd know about SA's massive black middle thats actually the engine of the country's economy. Instead u choose to focus on the poor townships and shacks.

Why don't u talk of the rich townships and the large amounts of blacks living in the surburbs? Talk about the fact that black university graduates have quadrupled in 2 decades and that the black middle class is now far larger than their white and Indian counterparts.

Give yourself time to google that and stop masturbating on poor townships and shacks, which are spilling over with your Zimbabwean and Mozambican cousins from the North all crawling under barbed wire to come rub shoulders with your far superior and pampered South African idols from Mandela's land. cool cool

Although I would have left you alone to fool yourself more but I think you need to be tutored and help you to see things in the right perspective.

If Nigeria is a country of over 200million people, what is the population of your country? What you don't understand is that less than 10% of Nigerians are overseas and the other ones are not dying of hunger. The complains of Nigerians are only based on the resources the country is blessed with and what they are getting. I am proud to be a Nigerian.

In case you are not told, a south African company named ESS was chased out of Chevron location ( EGTL, Escravos) because of fraud and sharp practices. One of your biggest brands( MTN) was discovered to be engaging in fraudulent acts and the company was heavily fined. So, you still think you have moral right to mock Nigerians?

Few months ago, you country was down economically that you needed a Nigerian economist to help you out. My country is blessed with human resources more than all other countries in Africa combined. Tell me 10 great persons to ever "come out" of southern Africa and I will mention 100 from Nigeria. Thread softly !!!

In every country there are criminals but that don't make those countries less than others. While others believe in Pan Africanism, I don't because of people like you. Up till this moment, Ghana is no match to Nigeria and that they know. Your President is worse than ours but we are less concern

We may not be the country of our dream but every Nigerians are optimistic of the future of the country to be better. In case you don't know banter is part of our lives and the reason you read yabis on this platform and others. You fought the whites while Nigeria fought civil war ( in which the wound is yet to totally healed)

Ask yourself why are many nationals troping to Nigeria daily and still refuse to live if the country is bad as you read. Goggle to know more about these cities before you reply.

Abuja
Kano
Lagos
Enugu
Port Harcourt
Uyo
Ibadan
Onitsha
Kaduna
Abeokuta
Calabar.

Thanks

Very spot on sir
God bless u.

SA's poor people have it far better than Nigeria's poor. Since you're an expert on SA, u already known of the heavy multiple state interventions that exist in this beautiful and caring country to assist the poor. The lockdown is just the recent example of financial state assistance to these people.

So let's discuss the safety net available to poor Nigerians grin grin grin What was even their fate during the lockdown? grin Isn't that why u could not even afford to sustain a lengthy lockdown like wealthy South Africa did for 5 straight months? grin

What's the rich / poor divide in Nigeria again, POVERTY CAPITAL OF THE WORLD with just a sprinkle of top highly corrupt ruling class linked to the state and the oil companies. You've become an expert on SA matters forgetting the pit latrine of a country you fled to become a REFUGEE in South Africa at the mercy of black ANC government that u are now mocking.

You should let the world know that Nigerian neighborhoods themselves in SA are filthy grime wastelands made up of hijacked buildings and typified by high crime rates fuelled by your drugs and stolen cellphone "ENTERPRISES" (as u like us to believe).

It is mostly populated by Nigerians, many without passports.
When you visit the tops schools in Ghana and South Africa.
You will meet more Nigerian Students than any other African Student.
I found out Ladies in Ghana and South Africa would choose a Nigerian guy over their own men while our Nigerian women will spit on us.
Nigerian guys have a criminal tag outside the country with or without legit papers.
There are some Hotels you will go to ones they see your Nigerian passport, they will prefer to tell you it's fully booked so not to accommodate you.
That's why a Liberian Chic came to my house Stole some money from me and still called the cops on me that I was trying to rob her of her money.
Infact,No one wanted to hear my own side of the story because I was a Nigerian.
Infact, being a Nigeria being accused of stealing makes you a thief.
I think,If I was a Kenyan may be I would have been treated differently.
It's a Crime to be a Nigerian in Africa now.
99.5% of Nigerians presently in Ghana and South Africa don't even go outside.
Remaining 0.5% moving about forget they are still Nigerians.

Do u lap up fake news on the regular, or just today to embarrass yourself in front of South Africans? How can a poor country such as yours spend 60 billion US DOLLARS on another far richer country? grin You don't even spend that much on yourselves every year - check your annual budget. grin

Just FYI, there are way better countries that helped SA in its fight against apartheid, especially in Southern Africa and Scandinavia. But most importantly, SA people fought for their own freedom. Who paid $60 Billion for Nigeria to gain it's independence? Our freedom was inevitable.

I wonder what South Africans are doing on nairaland

Nigerians on this site need to think.you guys have done more harm than good to Nigeria as a whole with your hateful words on your fellow countrymen
you see one section tagging the other part fl.at head, ipigs, nyamiri
you see the other one calling its counterpart afonja, ewedu people, skull miners
and you expect the outside communities to give us respect.
just so you know.no be only Nigerians dey visit this page.it is what the other people from other countries see us do here is what they will use to judge us.
Nairaland is a representation of Nigeria.
I disagree with you in what you are saying cannot work for the past 60 years we have been fooling ourselves by keeping quiet. If a ship is sinking what do you do you warned the people so that they can wear their life jackets and also get into the life raft. Now if you keep quiet and be fully yourself all of you on that ship is going to die. The problem with Nigeria people have been keeping quiet too long and the government has been taking people for granted enough is enough

The jealousy is quite simple.
Nigerians works harder than any other African Nationals in any country they found themselves.
Nigeria has the highest number of educated people in Africa.
Nigerians are great achievers in all spheres of human endavours, both home and abroad.
Diasporan Nigerians remit back close to 27 billion USD annually, that is more than half of South African foreign reserves.
Nigeria doesn't need to be in BRICS, our young and energetic people sets the rule in Africa and some other developed economies. We have the worst set of political leaders in the whole world and still do better for ourselves, imagine when we take back our country from those corrupt parasites.
When you talk about drugs and fraud, there are more Indians, Pakistanis, Mexicans, South East Asians that are committing these crimes than Nigerians, they are just more organized and operate like close knitted cartels and they are all over South Africa.Nigerians are just picking drug crumbs in South Africa.

If you are correct why is the country so backwards. As long as we cannot admit are failures the country cannot move forward you cannot build on something which is not correct. Also illiteracy is a big factor most of those Nigerians which are doing well are in other countries once you are in another country it has nothing to do with Nigeria whatever you are chief belongs to that country whatever progress you do belongs to that country. Once you are in another man's land whatever you do the benefit going to that man's land

I am totally ashamed of you ...what have you done concerning the whites ruling over you till today...you come out spilling trash we are far bigger than you guys...is it because your lazy ass south African men are afraid to travel out of your filthy, appithied filled country?..I guess thats what gives you the guts to talk trash about nija..your country is not better then China, america and Germany, but these people are all over the world...nigerians are never your problem...because your citizens are the ones buying the drugs, they are the ones fucking the trafficked girls, they are the ones collecting tax from the so called drug dealers...hate it as much as u like Nigerians are the reason you still have food on your table in that your land flowing with milk and honey...your girls can kill just to lick the ass of a Nigerian guy and thats the reason why your lazy ass can't stand Nigerians because we are way better than you individually and otherwise...so look at the brighter side and encourage your fellow lazy south africans to look for a job other than raping women and kids around the country....good rudents to bad rubbish.

when it becomes too laziness and crime Nigerians are the most professional in the world that is why they are known as Criminal worshippers. If there is a lot of Opportunity why do you need to leave the country look at Norway look at Sweden look and Switzerland, a good example from some South American countries like Brazil and Argentina people live the country in the last 2 years have fallen by 85%. If there is opportunity while if the country. Nigeria's problem is illiteracy people cannot think before they open their mouth
