Igbochief001: So you are justifying crime? And yes Chinese are trustworthy. If you have met anyone in their country before Not the ones you have corrupted in Nigeria. You even mentioned your tribe as a prime example of untrustworthy. No wonder. Aggressive and trustworthy is not the same thing. Scamming your fellow average or poor people is not aggressiveness but poor wickedness. Stop rationalizing evil. No be only you people poor or need money. 1 Like |

Stalwert: It's rather funny how we reason here. Yes I blame the government for most negative things because the government is not doing their work. Police are hands in gloves with the Yahoo boys and who regulates police? Police is busy extorting money from commercial bus drivers, make friends with Yahoo boys and you expect me to blame my ancestors. Your president is releasing terrorists to the society where other countries are dealing with them. In short nigerians are fools. |

We have a bad image and we all are aware. But what we all most times fail to realise is that it is that most times people like you try to think and postulate that the people can change without the leaders or the government. Y do some of us blame the Government? The Government help to set the time and standard for what is right and wrong, * what is right is reward, applauded and celebrated such that everyone believes in doing what is right * What is wrong is purnish and disgraced Laws are made to help people see this things clearly and to appreciate the impact of this actions by the leadership. Slowly slowly everyone begins to be in alignment of the law. Crime rates will certainly drop . But what do we have? A country whose leaders treat the followers lesser than humans and the mad rush for money continue to increase because of the power, authority and strength that those who possess it displays. Where the offenders dine with leaders and leaders are more criminal than the man behind bars. Doing wrong is getting been celebrated and the right man is called a fool even by his own household. Citizens get crooked by the day because they can not beat them but would rather join them. Tell me how can ur personal and individual self solve.all this problem without the instrumentality of leadership with it's authority! You say the people as though God created us differently? Or Do you want to accuse our culture to have made us this way? I do not agree God or the culture did this to us but the continuous beat of the effect of bad leadership. When I was growing I know how people who sell in my village leave their wares outside and even attend occasions in the nearby villages yet people will buy bread and keep the money under the trail of bread even sometimes serve themselves with the change or come get it later. This was in the 80's and 90's But Today in the same village you lock your door and they will burggle it to steal from inside. Some of you even accused the Church not knowing that it was the church that help avert mass suicide because of the right and wrong prophecies that continue to give people hope and hope is a very necessary ingredients for a hopeless situation like this that we have here. I can go on and on but I rest my case I rest my case Vixlot: 1 Like |

There are good people in nigeria too. Once i has missed me flight and was stranded at the international airport in Lagos with very little funds. Some dude at the airport helped me out by securing my luggage and taking me to an internet cafe after he finished his shift (This was long before cell phone data). I was able to send emails to my family about flight changes and so on. He didnt ask for a single kobo. Till date ive never seen that dude again. |

In 2015, during school registration, I was using my laptop to run the online registration for a friend and myself. At the Verge of completing the registration, a total stranger walked up to us and asked if I could run his. My friend and I needed to be at the bank before 3pm to pay our school fees, hence there was no way I could run this stranger's registration considering the fact that it was almost 3pm. So I handed him the laptop, took his phone number and headed for the bank. Fast forward to when I returned to pick my laptop...he appreciated my "good" gesture and then asked "what if I had run away with your laptop?" I replied "What if I had refuse to help?" Fact is before you trust someone you need to trust yourself |

Why Nigerians like to paint their country people back is what I don't understand How can you assumed that everyone here is criminal? Why do we quick to say negative things about the people and you except other countries to see positive things here Redeemed our image by seeing positive things and saying out loud There are good and bad people in every country just that Nigerians like to only focus on negative things #sayingpositivethings start with me |

That doesn't mean there are no evil minded people in Zimbabwe just that you were lucky to meet the righteous among. So also here in Nigeria we still have the God fearing ones just that you haven't seen them yet. At OP, as a Nigerian can't you do such? We've many uber drivers that have returned the items of their passengers worth millions. We have heard the case of a man that saw the US dollars inside the carton of noodles and he returned it. Though some Nigerians criticised him. We've millions of Samaria in Nigeria just that the media covered 1% of them. I still believe in God for better Nigeria not in politicians, not in PDP or APC |

Shattuck:That is the problem we have been making in Nigeria from beginning it is not leadership the Citizens are illiterate the only think Nigerians know how to do is vote for a criminal and destroy. So it has nothing to really do with the leadership. Nigerians in the UK and America will tell you a Nigerian can do nothing but they have to vote for their own Nigerian criminal this is in developed countries what Nigerians will be telling you. Even Nigerian children which are fun day at the same if you put us on the moon with Nigerians will end up voteing on a criminal. Do you know how many times are brought in developed countries I have here to Nigeria cedis we Nigerians can achieve nothing but we have to make noise. |

Nyanabo: You are an illiterate and you are making the situation worse catch any plane to any country in the world in Benin Republic to they will tell you Nigerians are criminals so what are you talking about is that how other Africans are treated. I have been to more than 17 countries in Africa the problem in Nigeria is not the leaders the people are stupid.a Nigeria we kick an industry out of the country 5 years later they are sending their children to that industry in another country believing they will get employed. The problem with Nigeria is illiteracy and stupidity 95% of Nigerians cannot tink more than one month in advance 1 Like |

Until we stop worshipping money in Nigeria, we will keep struggling with issues of honesty. Even in church, you are looked down upon if you don't have money. You visit the hospital you can't do much and will not be taken seriously without money. It's that bad, even your siblings or family members will disrespect you if you are broke or go broke. The pressure is much everywhere and is what is pushing most nigerians to be dishonest. We need to de-emphasise the issue of too much money and celebrate people more for what they have upstairs. If not this country will sink more into crisis, boko haram, banditry, kidnapping and other evils are thriving and will continue to thrive because money is our god in Nigeria. Let's stop worshipping money and see if things will not improve to make everyone start thinking straight 1 Like |
