Celebrating one patch of Imo state - state capital- while rest of the state are deprived of government institutions and amenities, is not it. Ihedioha followed by Hope is supposed to complete the two zonal stadiums started by Okorocha in Okigwe and Orlu, if Imo is a normal state, not a state of only state capital,

The government needs to fix the bad roads, cover all gutters, especially those ones high brow areas, put street lights in all major roads, put road signs and paintings in an exotic way.

These things don't require a lot of money to fix, just having the passion alone to ensure they're all in place is enough.

Once all these are put in place, I bet you, Owerri will be the most beautiful city in Nigeria after Abuja.

Abuja has the second highest GDP in Nigeria after Lagos, and real estate development is responsible for it, and Owerri is also attracting lots of Investments in the real estate sector.

The truth is that Owerri is grossly underrated. The city's airport attracts the fourth biggest volume of passengers in Nigeria's air traffic, after Lagos, Abuja and P.H. in that order. If the city is not vibrant and economically viable, thousands of people won't be trooping there and investments in real estate won't be so high.

By the time the oil refinery and gas plants are completed, the economy of Owerri will expand more.
Any smart person that has idle money in the banks should better buy lands now because ROI is going to skyrocket in no distant time.

I know most Nigerians are not smart. However the steam of thought which flows out of them beg for clarity. Lagos, as a city, had more hotels than Owerri will ever dream about. Today as s state, Ikeja in Lagos can easily put Owerri to shame with number of hotels in one street alone talk less about entire town. Some comments from most Nigerians seemed to driven by tribal juice instead of knowledge.

You are absolutely correct am also from imo I couldn't believe the rot I personally saw with my eyes the last time I visited owerri the whole place just look like an abandoned city rochas is the worst thing to ever happen to imo state since her creation.

Not from Imo but I work there. It is a beautiful place but Rochas really messed up Imo state.
